hi guys. im riding r15 v1. anyone know how make the stock pipe sound louder, by poking holes on silencer. is it true? anyone know any shop where it can be done ?

 

An approved slip-on should solve your problem. Do not attempt to modify the silencer by poking or removing it, the price to pay is just ain't worth it.

Hi, do you know of anyone or any shop that sells cheap cover sets? got crack due to stationary fall. sigh. am a noob when it comes to all these. and where do you guys service your r15s?! please reply, thanks!

 

When you mentioned cover sets, I assume you are referring to the Fairing piece then yes, each piece can be replaced individually.

Go to Bikeworkz for servicing. Look for Ah Beng, the owner of the shop. Otherwise, just consult any of his other mechanics, all are capable and competent.

Be prepared to wait for a while before it comes to your turn as there will always be a long and packed queue.

Best to go early at 0930am when their shop starts the day to avoid long waiting time.

Try going to a different inspectuon centre. I never had that problem with my R15. Also check if ur license plate sticker is the right size and font.

Hi There fellow riders, i just wanted to know if anyone here has a spare right side fairing and head cowling for sale.Met with an accident and damaged those two parts.I went to HL in Ubi but the parts are not available,need to order and wait for 5 weeks.Any suggestions where i can get this 2 parts.Your help is appreciated.Please do pm me or e-mail me for more info.Thank you.

 

Go to Bikeworkz, leave your bike there and they will order it for you directly from supplier. Definitely won't have to wait for 5 weeks.

Hi all

Just wondering how much would a complete overhaul for a r15 cost? My bike got this knocking engine sound when i start and ride the bike.

 

Was wondering if anyone experience this and have went through the overhaul for thier bike.

Before you decide to do a complete overhaul, do get it checked by an experienced mechanic to avoid wasting any unnecessary cash. I recommend Bikeworkz for that.

I did my r15 v1 overhaul in JB for around 3kplus rm. Changed around 10 items.. depending on what is faulty.. you can actually do a full service first instead of an overhaul to fully check if there is any things faulty in your engine before you do overhaul.. if the problem is not big.. prolly an overhaul is not required.

Hi. Anyone encounter having the yellow light blink at the speedometer everytime u turn on ur bike?

 

Yellow light is ENGINE problem light. Get it checked at your workshop ASAP. But its a very general indicator.. it can be battery.. sourcecoil.. clutchplate.. so its better to bring in to shop and check

Am new here and gotten a r15 v2. Recently I came across a very faded whistle sound after i start the ignition and the engine is running. Am not sure where it comes from or pin point it but i suspect its the calibrator or the engine. Anyone experiencing this or not when the engine is started? Is it normal?

When I took over a new r15 v2 recently, the yellow light was on. The seller said it's been there for a while but he didn't have time to have it fixed. We brought it to the mech at ASP who said it's due to the CDI so he changed the CDI

Problem seems to be gone after I filled up fuel tank. Previously was very low and running on reserve tank. Shall pump earlier in the future. (This seems to have affected v1 bikes too, according to old posts)
