Yamaha Safety Recall

a brief summary :

Yamaha has issued a press release announcing safety recalls for models including the XV1600 Wild Star, R1, FZ6, FJR1300, TDM900, MT-01, XV1700 and XT660R/X.

The release is reproduced in the web page, and all owners of affected machines will be contacted by Yamaha to advise them of the steps needed to rectify their machines.

 

has anyone seen this happening in Singapore?

I think they mentioned those bikes manufactured from 02 to 05 right?

 

I think no one has been contact by agent/dealer so far.

I think its best to ask the bike shop to liase wif yamaha . Or call up yamaha on ur own .

 

Anyway , hope yamaha will put up the recall notice in the papers like wat Honda did .

Hong Leong did put up the recall ad.

 

The potential fault is with the throttle position sensor.

 

It affects 262 imports of FZ6-S, FZ6-N and YZF-R1.

hey guys.. juz call mr gerald..he says that he replace the throttle positioning sensor... its free of charge...

but hv to leave the bike wit dem fr a day lah..sianz..

 

lets say u bring in to dem in the afternoon, tomoro morning can collect ur baby back...

my baby to have a day surgery..hehe...

 

so anione here done the day surgery yet...?

 

hw ur bike feels like nw..? milage increase..?
