sweet man !!! check u got it from MAH too ?? amd other shop carrying it ??? and do u mind disclosing the price u paid for ur 675R ?? Do review ur ride after u get it buddy ! :)

Yes, got from MAH. Understand mine is the 5th 675R in SG. Great looks, love the carbon bits. I guess the steering damper makes a big difference with the handling which is surprisingly very good, bike does not feel heavy in slow speed. Unable to open her up beyond 5000 rpm to break the engine in, and therefore haven't got a good feel for the bike. Very different ride from the 2005 R6 I had previously. The only not so good point for me is that I am not able to change down continously from 4th to 2nd or 1st, unless I clutch out between changes!! Hopefully I will get used to it. I also can't understand whether it is the underseat exhaust or the low gear riding in traffic, the engine gets very hot and very uncomfortable....anyone has any ideas?

Price SGD 29k on the road including comprehensive insurance, road tax, COE, etc,.....

Anyone up for a ride out?

For the heat, u should wrap it with those exhaust wrap. Did tat to mine and the diff quite a lot. My next project is take out the cat. Nd to cut and reweld the pipe. The best thing with tis bike is tat we can tune or change mapping it using our laptop with ease.

Thanks for the tip on exhaust wrap. Is it wrapping just the pipe? Are there any heatshield products that I can use in conjunction? Riding in Singapore traffic, makes my ass and thigs feel as if they are on fire!! How does it benefit taking the Cat out?

hey guys! really love the 675R, she's a beauty! Have a couple of questions to anyone kind enough to answer them,

How is the sitting posture ? any strain on the wrists?

how about the pillon seat? comfortable?

Thanks a bunch!

Hi ,here's how i feel straddling on a Daytona, the sitting position is slightly higher then the Jap bikes, being a triple ,she is slim (narrow) and so is the tank ,the handlebars are alittle sweptback towards the rider,it takes some time to get use to the position if u have ridden a Jap sportsbike before but once u manage to adapt n adjust your posture to fit into her, u find the Daytona is a sweet handling machine with torque that reads awesome.. great bike for road and trackdays riding.. however for race, we lose out on top end speed..

strain on wrist is like any other sportsbike, on road riding most of us sit upright where our upper body will rest on wrist, if we crouch a little with slightly bend elbows, that takes weight off the wrist but then again ,it might get a little uncomfy in a semi crouch position.

sorry cant answer about the pillion seat but i guess its never comfy to sit on that narrow rear seat on any modern day sportsbike. but i do see many rider/pillion sharing the rider seat.. of course it better be a girl pillion.. hahaha

cheers

I probably be selling my Daytona by year end...its being laid up and next year will be the 3rd year of laying up in which i have to return her into street legal mode for inspectation. I probably sell her with everything incl the race parts thats in her. The whole catalouge of Triumph Racing parts is in her now except for the full race harness and the only other non Triumph racing performance part is the HM quickshifter. Exhaust is the Triumph /Arrow full titanium race system,Triumph /Arrow racing rearsets and clutch/brake levers...Original parts will go together with her too.

cheers
