got.. japlangzi, bought new HRC cdi from them, abt 1weeks+ spoil liao. den they say nt their problem..

Any bike shop which is good at repairing pgm4? Hope can share around cuz nowadays very hard to find mechanic good at repairing this old bike.

very hard to buy the parts and accessories (if you know where can buy intro me also.)

they install that cdi for me. den the valve cannot close mean that when i kick start my bike my valve open all the way until i off my engine. and they say nv spoil. they ans if u really wanted to put hrc cdi, is to run rite? den wht 4 u need to close ur valve. lol if lik that y my friend hrc cdi can close valve at low rpm? haiz sad to say -_-

japlangzi: wah, ur hrc cdi power lolol, might as well use normal cdi and just force the valve open hor? maybe the cdi they sold you already sot sot...

 

they got tell u if got prob go back to them or not? buying 2nd hand part v dangerous wan... maybe they know already spoil that why they lidat answer you...

--HI can be delicate..

 

1. check if the servo motor is working or not.

2. check if the rectifier too ...by using multimeter to check ur batt if it read 20+V den somthing not rite den it can fry ur CDI ---- ( i never takce chances always change my rectifier 2+ yrs n also depend how many KM been use on the rectifier)

3. Check your valve is it clock up with carbon if so d valve also will never opn and close this also can cause the servor motor spoilt ...

 

If people say wanna go fast open valve ...valve no need to close just wide open better ride 125z or RXZ (no valve) ...... if want more power the old rd350 or daytona 400 ..easily pop up a wheelie man

 

My some 5 cent of advise --

 

check with people who knows on NSR - yup AK can be better place to ask.

 

Its a delicate bike --- NSR 250 ... do check on some forum there are plenty of helps on NSR in the internet do some research

1st i install my stock cdi my valve work perfectly fine. and the display nv show err2. but put back the hrc cdi it show err2. there means servo motor is working.

 

2nd i juz done my full service so the no carbon in my valve.

 

3rd i now using my stock cdi for 2week le so far no problem

 

4th if u open valve all the way u muz high ram. den u muz stay in high speed if not ur bike no power juz lik sitting on a boat.

 

5th i pay money is to buy thing which are working not the thing are spoil. in the 1st place race w*** nv tel me tha the cdi is spoil.

 

so there mean 1 thing for sure rac* we** sell me spoil cdi, and claim that you put hrc cdi is no run.... no need to close ur valve 1. den y my friend cdi can close his valve at low rpm y cant i???? there means they sold me a spoil cdi. when i went there they say my dry clutch going to finish ask me change around 200+++ but i when to peter workshop they say my dry clutch is working perfectly fine cos the sound is ver soft etc...

Anybody here with the name of zhong recently, i just know him from racewerks motor-diam then accident hp spoilt. i need to find his contacts to ask where can buy pgm body cause my bikeshop cant find the parts.

We understand from William's account to Norman for your case was the CDI sold on behalf of our customer has a problem and he has told you about it. The CDI was sold to you for $350.00 and has given you a choice to purchase or not as you have not pay for it.

 

But was told that you can sent to Japan for repair at around $200.00 hence William install the CDI for you.

 

The valve is been set to open because of the problem and was advised to you.

 

You have rode the bike for about 2 weeks after which was afraid that it will over-rev and damage the engine. William help you to install back your original CDI as you would like to send the HRC CDI to Japan for repair.

 

We hope you can give Norman a call @ 97681429 as he would like to hear your side of the story so as to clarify this matter.

like that i think you have to send ur normal cdi to japan to let them code for you first ...then you can start using ur hrc cardd ...

correct me if i'm wrong, but the thing about the card system on the pgm4 is that for the cdi you can set between 'stock' mode and 'hrc' mode. there isnt a hrc cdi. theres only the hrc card which sets the 'hrc' mode for the pgm4 cdi

 

i think its almost impossible to order a new 'hrc' card now right?

 

the hrc harness is actually a smaller (it doesnt make provision for headlamps/signals/blahblah) wiring harness so that you can use the 'hrc' mode, but you can modify your existing stock harness so you can use it too..
