@ Max:

Dayum!! $800 is definitely a high price to pay, even though it's a brand

New set .. Care to share what's it the package? :)

@nash :

Yep that's not my ride :) hardly get any chance to stroll ard due...to the weather :(

@ : newbie ~

Hey newbie, I read up the forum abit and I noticed that you wana get your card duplicated as well as recoding it to 030 , jus to clear afew doubts haha are you gonna send your 010 + Stock NSR card tgt ? Or just your 010 ? Because if it's a recode + new key duplication it's gonna cost you a bomb ~.~

Cheers to all 2-str0kers!

Alrighty , lemme explain a lil :)

1 X recode. : SGD$ 350+ "excluding shipping"

(!)1 X New Key : SGD$ ??? Prices vary*

+ compulsory recode/duplicate : SGD$350+

Price of new OEM Key can be found at slipstreamperformance.com

Which includes u a free OEM recode, but if you buy elsewhere or from anyone you can find with an unwanted Key Card, you may save bit more :D

So my estimation is .. Near $800 to 1k ~.~ "+shipping and all"

~.~My suggestion is to buy a new OEM CDI (CDI+2X Keys) and then go for a single card recoding. It'll Better that way though it costs more of a bomb ard $1600+ but atleast u can sell off your current CDI for some cash back =3

Hope that clears your doubts :)

CDI is electronic, so EZ to damaged.. & make sure valve is working & clean...if not it will out the CDI...

As for the tyre, well its depend..Track or road using..

As for me, get a track tyre ZR compound..

but will not last that long but it gripped when cornering...:cheeky:

@ Newbie: hmmm getting a recode + an additional key would be triple the price of of jus recoding 1 card. yup getting new cdi and then recode would be a far better call! =)

@ Nash: im using Pilot power =) nash do rmb to warm up your tire if you ride once per week like i do =) doing Snake turns on straightaway lane like peeps do on the race track before racing~

@ Max : an average lifespan of a MC28 CDI would be 5years and up depending on luck.. bad luckers may not even get that minimum 5 years.. extend its lifespan by remembering to shield your cdi at all costs! haha example covering it with plastic bag while washing? =)

oh yea that 5yrs info was from NSR-World 's forumers . " may not be accurate "

what is ZR compound?

i tot ZR is the speed rating of the tire.

by track tire do u mean slicks?..

or just the regular tires that we use bt090, alpha 10, ect?

if slicks then need to wear wider size right.. 120&160.. unless go for the less popular brands.

anyway anyone tried the newer model of tyres yet?

alpha 12, bt003, power one, ect..

Alpha 10 is good, Bt003 have not tried yet...but power 1 i liked best( used on my VTR).

If used rear 160...the turen angle is much better but bit heavy...unless u can carry much corner speed when entry a corner(for track)...

Well it all depends which tyre & compund u all prefer. same as GP rider, some prefer michelin then Bridgestone.:p
