What brand is rec0mmended f0r l0ng lasting n effective? Wat i mean is w0nt easily be 'b0tak' even if used daily n travel l0ng distances..

most rear tyres have lifespan of abt 6months..

try to stick to road tyres instead of those "track" tyres if you want it to last..

***tyre pressure, rider's weight, style of riding affects greatly on the wear and tear of the tyre too..

Michelin Pilot Power seems to be a good set for a start..

many had this for many months even with track sessions..

other lasting tyre i know is Dunlop GPR 100.. but still refer to ***

for stock rim size, 120 front and 150 rear is recommended.. but some brand/model of 160 tyres can still fit without rubbing chain..

Can the battlax 021 fit into DRZ ??? If so, it's a ggod tyre as i ever corner my S4 wif dat particular tyre while goin 160km/h into a bend.

i would not suggest to use that tyre as it's a sports touring tyre..

DRZ may not have enough weight to keep it down.. or warm it up..

plus a defect on it's front tyre, it squares out and will wear out faster than the rear..

Was it knee dragging and lower fairing scraping corner? If it was.. then the tyre is really good.

If it is one of those gentle bends that can be taken at 165 KMH on a DRZ at throttle wide open and on top gear like PG Turn 2...then the tyre has not been really tested because there is not much loading on the tyres.

Abboy Motor Racing still has stock of Michelin Power 1s 160 rear and 120 front at $428 installed.

C compound rear (hardest)... grip as good as the slicks and seems to be more tolerant to wear when run at 29 PSI (hot) at the track. Front use the A compound.

Corsa Pro is a damn good track tyre also. Have used it before on my CBR1000RR. I would rate it to be same as the Metzeler RaceTechs.

But if you asked me to compare the Corsa to the Power One... then I become very biased. Heheh.
