Hi folks.

I'm going to put together a ride on Sunday morning just to go out and have some fun...and hopefully...catch the sunrise at a nice spot. Since somebody told me that Lim Chu Kang had a good place...I'd say we should go there and see the special sunrise. So come join me if you are game for an early Sunday morning ride.

Date: 13 September (Sunday)

Time: 5:30am

Meet: Esso Station (553 Upper Thomson Road)

We will end with a spot of breakfast, of course :)

Please include your mobile so I can contact you.

Bermudas, please don't mistaken it as a road hogging convoy. Our speed is also primary because we avoid E-ways as far as possible, hence we are able to explore some of the less riden/drove roads in SG.

It's a different trip. The reason you see his name appearing again and again, is probably he organise trips that too frequently.

Anyway, since scubasimon had sent you a response, I shouldn't comment further.

Have a great day! :thumb:

aha... no breakfast food pics?

you know, i was ALL ready to take a picture of my breakfast...but when it came to the table...it didn't look good...so I didn't want to spoil my lens lor.

i was at zion road...wanted to have lor mee but the stall wasn't open...so had the wanton/chicken noodles instead. normally it is with "mee" and has the crispy wanton. dunno why this morning i ordered kway teow and asked him not to put crispy wanton. looked plain and boring...tastes plain and boring too. next time will have the standard version which is tons better.

dude im curious. how do u bring your gears(as in your camera and stuffs).i'm using a crumpler sling bag but my shoulders get sore especially during long journeys..lagi worse if i bring a tripod! hah..

there are several ways to carry camera gear with you on the ride.

1. get a box. this is the easiest and simplest way. you don't have to ride any different from normal and your gear should stay dry and safe. of course, this requires that your bike has a box in the first place.

2. use a camera back pack. i do not recommend using any other kind of back pack because camera gear needs to be kept safe and dry in the event of a downpour, or a fall. get a lowepro backpack that has the raincover. with this, you can carry a whole ton of gear, plus your tripod!

3. use a reporter style camera bag. again, do not use any other type of camera bag because you need mobility and protection from shock and water. this is how i bring my own gear around when i need to use more than one lens. i use a lowepro reporter 400 camera bag. it comes with lots of options for storage configuration, has lots of pockets and zips, a rain cover, an easy top access zip and sits well on my bike when slung to my shoulder. you can also carry your travel tripod strapped to this bag (i don't).

4. slap on a wide-angle lens on your camera, get a nice short strap, put on a table-top tripod, sling the whole thing over your neck and ride. this is my preferred way and is the one i have used for many rides (when i am VERY sure there won't be rain). i love using wide-angle lens and the table top tripod (manfrotto) gives me many options for supporting my camera. just need to be a little more creative.

i'm sure you can think of more ways. using a belt+pouch combination would work too. so it really depends on you. what kind of photography you want to do...what equipment you will need...what bike you are riding (sportsbike for example you should only use back pack...trailbike like mine affords more options because of the almost upright riding position...cub & scooters are very versatile too.

that's it from me on this topic. come join the next ride and we can talk more.

great... a couple came to view my bike, they'll give me an answer by Wed. I ruled out phantom for my next bike... headache... probably looking at FZ150i, if i have that, I won't have any 2A bike, and my next bike would be a cl2 Fazer.
