Do you know what an ambulance blinker light is for?

Just wanna find out how many of us actually know what's the difference between the siren and the blinker light. becos sometimes the ambulance travel at high speed wif only blinker light n no siren. so im abit confused whether it's on emergency..

siren is to ask you to SIAM!

 

blinking lights is to tell you, "I AM COMING!!!"

Regardless of whether or not there is a siren... if there are beacon lights on... means get out the way!! On the way to call/hospital.

 

Sometimes they do not on the siren cos its get irritating to keep blasting it all the time they move out... and they do move around very often.

blinker lights are on all the way be it with or without siren..

 

we must all give way to any emergency vehicles..

 

if siren is on, means you are blocking the way, rushing to scene or rushing to hospital..

 

siren will not be on continously because it's really very irritating.. and of cuz if traffic is smooth, there's no need to on siren..

i see.... normally i would siam n gif way.. after they overtook me i would follow behind.

i rmb seeing a taxi stayed in the first lane infront of the ambulance and did not give way.. haha

Good luck to the cabbie.. For a few years already, SCDF Ambulances have cameras mounted on their dashboard to record the vehicles who do not give way. Dont give way, you'll soon find a summons in your letterbox with the date, time, location of offence.
