dun use autosol.. it contains abrasives.. use metal polish.. brands like meguires, 3m, turtle wax have metal polish..

1) turtle wax platinum chrome polish

2) turtle wax platinum liquid wax

3) turtle wax platinum liquid wax

The chrome polish is hard to clean off. Have to use a very clean cloth or else u get flimy look on your chrome like using 3M. i guess the turtle wax chrome polish would suffice (the white bottle with red cap one), easy to apply and clean off.

The liquid wax is fine, since it is easy to use. nothing spectacular though.

1)the metals parts like exhaut, handlebar, i used turtle wax chrome polish to remove mild oxidation and make it shine.

2)plastic chrome bits dun use turtle wax chrome polish, use wax can le

coz i attempted polish the it with turtle wax, ACTUALLY saw the chrome bits came off and exposing the underlying plastic.....

3)tank and fender use wax

actually i got another query.

i been using liquid wax, but recently keep raining. There's always water marks on the tank..

if i change to non-liquid wax will it be better option?

lets say a second hand phantom's, starting part of the exhaust pipe(header?) is very rusty. can remove it with autosol?

only after the last tree has been cut down, only after the last river has been poisoned, only after the last fish has been caught, only then will you realize that money cannot be eaten.

Autosol does remove rusty parts.. but as time goes by.. the de-rusted part will still be rusty.. i've even heard from somebody that autosol actually worsen ur chrome metal condition.. to me autosol solves the problem for short term.. as for long term and to increase the chrome lifespend.. i would suggest to go for the turtle wax...

autosol is actually is a very abrasive polish...it is good for spots rust/stain removal..

large area of rust..i would use a diff grades of sand paper...but with both u have to protect the surface cleaned/derusted else it will start rusting again..

just give ur ride a wipe with a clean dry cloth every morning when u start ur ride , u have to wait for warm up anyway.

my bike is a good prove.

no need wash or polish for at least a month , den u wash ur bike lor.

den use some cheap wax to wax it .

den keep wiping every morning .

u will see effect in 2-3 days.

Pimp my bike and I'll pimp your ride 😜

i tink autosol prevents rusting..

rather den remove rust..

auto sol removes rust..yes

it protects parts from rusting ..no

do an experiment okay...find a rusty part on your bike..say the foot peg area...polish with auto sol..within a week the rust will appear..

with chrome, silver, nickel etc plated areas..auto sol removes the stain on those parts and at the same time polish it to a shine..during the process of polishing tiny bits of the plated surface is being removed..until such time the plated surface been polish away , oxidation will begin..actually the plated surface protects the base metal from oxidising..ie rusting in iron stuff.

Hi Bro,

For all chrome parts, polished stainless steel, chromed plastic like phantom side cover, if they are no rust you can directly use chrome polish. so far I like Turtle Wax Chrome Polish, small white bottle with red cap.

If you have rust, go to Daiso, look for a very fine steel wool. They sell it in a bag of 10 / 12 small rolls (each about half lengthh of springroll size). Rub it directly, and you will see the magic. My parts were covered with rust when I get my phantom, all gone off easily.

For all painted parts, if they are no dent, deep scratches, peeling, you can polish it. Meguiars 3 step polishing wax is so far the best I hv ever tried.

If the paint are not good, you may want to save the trouble and just respray. Phantom tank and the 2 fenders cost around $250.

Hope it helps.

hi,

you cab scrape the thick melted plastic with a cutting / pen knife first (use a new one). Then rub them off with steel wool (see my previous reply above). This stuff is really great.
