omg,

even thamo from bikelab ask me to get my shocks from ohlins, coz his pensuke is gonna cost almost twice of that from ohlins...

i did talk to bikelab before and they check out their shocks from me.but the bracket which pensuke got a third party to customise for TLR will cost about 1000 bucks

i wish to get the pensuke shock too.

Funny, when I was there to do remapping, he was "psychoing" me to change to Penske.

Maybe if he got the impression that cost vs performance, you were more concern with cost. That's why he told you to go for Ohlins.

Guys...

SHHHEEE'SSS BACK!

W00T!..

After sme waiting, my baby was discharged yesterday afternoon. So first job today is cleaning coz she looks as if she got manhandled by several guys (then again, it is a workshop.... )

Anywayz, going down to wash it. But before I go, a question. I need some advice on this:

I would like to know your riding styles and fuel consumption. Understand different styles results in variable fuel economy. I curious to know how you guys ride:

1. RPM maintained for cruising

2. At which RPM you shift gears

3. Preferable crusing speed.

4. Maximum distance achieved before reserve light comes on (not blinking)

5. Petrol used

For me, I think I have change my riding style a bit. I used to pickup fast. Hit 5-6K RPM before shifting gears and cruise at ard 5K RPM. By 4th gear, that means I'm hitting 120-130km/h on expressways (proven yesterday and this morning). Kinda a bit overkill I guess. Not to mention, just filled up a full $15 tank of Synergy 95. Tis morning, already hit blinking reserve light.

My engine just got assembled and cleaned. New oil filter. So I'm going GP tonite to top up and try out a new riding style. See how far I can go. So, need your feedback guys. Thankies in advance...

Oh, one more thing. Another n00b question. Does sprocket size affect mileage? Turns out I discovered my rear sprocket is smaller than stock. Think previous owner changed for track used. My mech adviced to change to a bigger stock one, 44 if I'm not wrong for S'pore road use.

39 rear sprocket is stock.

41 is the max you can go without altering your chain length

I have tried 42, and at highway speeds, it was too buzzy.

44 is overkill and you should send your mech to the firing squad.

Well, tats why I said If I'm Not Wrong...

hehehehe

the way my mech talks, I half-understand what's he's mumbling about.

He did mention mine is currently prolly 33. Very small. Should change to a bigger one. Forty sumting. I heard it as 44. Hmm... maybe on the next chain change.

Anywayz, back to the original riding style question. All can contribute?

personally i have tried 41 without changing my chain and it seems to increase my oil consumption.i feel 39 is still the best.

normal riding rpm is abt 4k.i usually shift my gears nothing more than 4k..max 5k.My tiller starts blinking at abt 190km..Petrol for me is courtesy from johor...

hmm... interesting.

I'm trying out sumting like yours since last nite from a full tank.

More like:

shift gear at 5K RPM (4K feels kinda too low for me).

4th gear 80-100km/h at 5KRPM for moderate traffic road

5th gear +-100km/h at 4.5-5K RPM for expressways

this time, gotta exercise max control when turning the throttle. a tiny twist.

Hmm... let's see in 3 days time what's the mileage outcome....
