Snap-On tools are specialized workshop / garage automotive tools. They are made of better materials than those cheap-o tools you get at clearance sales shops or HDB hardware stores. Each particular tool is meant for a specific part of your bike / car.

The advantage of these tools are that they are very unlikely to cause damage to your bike / car and screw threads, common with low-grade tools...

Disadvantage? These tools cost a whopper. I asked at Unity once how much is their adjustable sprocket sets. The sprocket itself cost $120++. The set of heads? Dun ask....

oh, and not all shops that have Snap-On tools are honest or good. Its just that they have better tools than others. It still depends on the mech's skill and attitude.

Remember, its not the equipment. Its the warrior that matters...

hahahah! I remembered there was an outing to Kulai or somewhere... but didn't remember it was last nite.

Yours is the black TLR rite? IT was parked rite near the Esso door.

Anywayz I wanted to stay and chat. But my bike developed some funny sounds when I tried hard accelaration. Wanted to test it along the NSH. Think some of them heard it when I moved out of Esso. Real bad.

When I finally got home, discovered the problem. Abt 1/3 the rear sprocket teeth got snapped off. Chain was slipping and "jumping" every time I gave a hard accelaration....

Sigh. Need to get a change later today. Any suggestions?

yah lohz....i heard the sound too...real bad.my friend even thought it was a two stroker....

u can try to change the rear one for 90 bucks at unity.its a dual material kind.aluminium in the centre to lessen the weight and steel at the teeths for durability

hmmzz...

I gotta change the chain also tat means...

Saw an AFAM sprocket at Motorworld. Tempted. But its size 37. I wanna go stock 39 or maybe as much as 2-up to 41.

What abt stock sprockets? Are they ok enuff? Mine currently is an aftermarket one. Size 33. Think its wasn't well-maintained before me. Thus, the quick demise.

I got quoted 200 for chain + stock Suzuki sprocket set from Planet. Any good?

$160/$320

this brings me to an odd question....

The amount is correct based on the formula given by LTA website....

for a 1000cc bike.

But ours is registered as 996cc rite? shouldn't it be lesser, a bit?

Bobokik is getting a lesser amt, ard $318 if I'm not wrong, for his K3. I suggested it could be coz his bike was calculated on the actual CCm which is even lesser than ours, if I'm not wrong...

w00t!

heheh!

other than 4T, wat lube is good to use?

actually the very first mod I intended to do was a cheap but tricked up one.

was thinking of putting some hot-looking wire-mesh across the fairing holes... make it look tricky. hehehehe

but on hold coz I can't find any excellent looking mesh other than those common disposable BBQ grills...

sigh...

Those guys at TLPlanet do it and make their Tillers and Tillis looks neater

heheheheh
