Yes.... there is always a discount at certain age. if im not wrong 21, 25, 28, 30, 35

Last time 30 is the cheapest, but now they increase to 35.

As for your bike Bajaj i think the insurance wont be that high i guess.

You can check with NTUC or Mitsui. there are other one which i wouldnt knw. You can bring your log sheet and go to their branch and ask for a quote. No obligations one i remember. or you can call and ask but the price they give in calls and the exact price differs. So do take note on this. :)

Cheers. And happy 21st. Ride safe.

hmmm... if im not wrong, insurance premiums factors in ur age, bike model, registered year, and road exp.

age: older u are, cheaper it gets. cause its alway sadder and as malays say, ke sian, when a young rider dies. eg. 18 yr old rider dies in head on collision with tp bike :cheeky:

bike model: apparently any sports bike model will definitely be more ex. reason for high price is cause sport bike more prone to accidents. this reason is supported by statistics from lta n tp if im not wrong, and also sport bike rider claim more often as compared to others.

registered year: the longer it has been registered, the more reliable it is on the road. (may be wrong on this)

road exp: a guy who been riding for 5 over years will have cheaper insurance as his skills on a bike is viewed as better then when compared to a new rider. more years on road = more skilled = less accident prone = less claims against the insurance company.

(not sure for cases where a cls 2A license holder didnt ride at all from 2B to 2A, as technically he hold license for more then one year, but road exp is zero due to not owning a bike)

hope dis helps.

if my info wrong, feel free to correct me.

im still learning everyday :)

Sorry ah bro just using your post for TS info. :D And share some different tots and facts :D

TS please note that most of this terms stated here are cover 1st party issues for pay out reason. If for 3rd party, there is another reason. Which i will state in green

hmmm... if im not wrong, insurance premiums factors in ur age, bike model, registered year, and road exp.

Correct.

age: older u are, cheaper it gets. cause its alway sadder and as malays say, ke sian, when a young rider dies. eg. 18 yr old rider dies in head on collision with tp bike :cheeky:

Mabbe... But i think the main reason is that young riders tends to get hot headed easier and ego at stake.

bike model: apparently any sports bike model will definitely be more ex. reason for high price is cause sport bike more prone to accidents. this reason is supported by statistics from lta n tp if im not wrong, and also sport bike rider claim more often as compared to others.

Main reason is sports bike price are higher due to parts on the bike is higher. i.e bike parts are more expensive.

Sports bike rider tends to ride fast and get into accident more often. Cos its stated... SPORTS BIKE :cheeky: :D

registered year: the longer it has been registered, the more reliable it is on the road. (may be wrong on this)

Hmmm half on this. Older bikes have source for parts problem. Thus if cover under 1st party, the premium will be higher. Some ins company dun even wanna cover vintage bike like BSA Norton.

road exp: a guy who been riding for 5 over years will have cheaper insurance as his skills on a bike is viewed as better then when compared to a new rider. more years on road = more skilled = less accident prone = less claims against the insurance company.

(not sure for cases where a cls 2A license holder didnt ride at all from 2B to 2A, as technically he hold license for more then one year, but road exp is zero due to not owning a bike)

INS company dun really bother if you have riding in the pass years. Just that you dun have a discounted NCD (No Claim Discount). Maximum for bike NCD is only 20%

hope dis helps.

if my info wrong, feel free to correct me.

:D me too. share share ah dun mind :)

400 is more than the actually insurance cost becuase i'm under installment if not, it will be even cheaper.

I'm using AXA.

NU*C doesn't do 3rd party claim for u.

Yes it does, cos if you are still under hire purchase, the agent who gives you the loan will force you to take coverage for 1st party. If not, the bike crash and total lost, the agent got nothing to take back which is a risk they wont wanna take. Unless the loan is from a bike shop whom you knw, but also they minimum would require you to take 2nd party coverage.
