Anyone can ride a bike. Being a biker, is a state of mind.

One thing I notice, almost everyone don't check back when moving off, blind spot also not everyone check.

Ride safe guys.

Witnessed a very very very near-accident on our way to ESSO after the ride.

When a taxi signalled and tried to cut inbetween the convey, Finrod slowed to let him go, but the taxi off the signal and went straight. A few seconds later, a 2B Bike overtook us on the left, the taxi started cutting left. Very nearly hitting the rider and his pillion. So close that the rider can knock the window if he spread his elbow with his hands still on the handlebars.

Scarey.... :giddy:

One more thing, sorry everyone for slowing down the convey.

Motorcyclist are the nicest people on the road, try not to kill us.

The check back thingy and blindspots are mistakes that rookies and pros always makes. I 2nd silenthunter's opinions and would wish that more safety procedures be followed.

I remembered passing by the taxi and when i looked into my mirrors to check back on bro silenthunter, i did notice something unusual but only when bro silenthunter told me it was a near miss involving another biker that i get the story.

The lessons to be learnt from such long convoy is always to be patient and dun overtake unless necessary because the riders behind might not have enough time and also space to execute the overtaking procedure. When riding as a convoy, always adopt a herd safety mentality. Look out for oneself and also riders behind and in front.

Lastly, i noticed riders who can be competent marshallers.

I want to see the world and i'm pretty sure the world wants to show a little something to me.

this ride is one hell of a happening ride! so many riders that i didnt get to talk to the other riders under nabil's flock. Thanks for organizing this trip simon! :thumb:

this is good training of how to ride in an convoy, it is so much tougher riding in a convoy in gridlock sg no thanks to the many vehicles and traffic lights. Definitely tougher than riding on NSHW and some of the msian trunk roads i rode on before.

hope i didnt made any reckless moves and endagering myself and the others last night. IMO, i cant recall myself doing anything like that. maybe riders behind me like finrod and silent hunter can help point out my mistakes if any.

it was great getting to know more riders and of cos the only lady on her TW200! :cheeky:

looking forward to more rides and the impending gymkhana course! im available for help if any help or assistance is needed.

@nabil15: no worries man...ride again soon!

About safety...now i've been thinking about this for a long while...think its a good idea to organize this thing better in the future. I will start a post on my blog on this and please do post your comments and suggestions on how to make our rides safer.
