I notice that alot of ppl out there have install the V.LOUD electric horn on their bike. I have bought a similar ones, but when I tried to replace the original bike horn, it doesn't horn load, as only 1 side is activated. Have check the both horn, working. Think that there is insufficient power to the horn. Have tried to connect in series, but it burn my fuse. So now, I'm using back my orginal S4 horn. Any1 know know how to solve this problem. Any1 can share on how to connect the electric horn on S4?????????

If I'm not wrong, you'll need a relay to wire up the horn. Can't give you any useful advise as I've not done it myself. Maybe you wanna chck with one of the motortiams or if any bros here know how to DIY.

I think honda stock horn circuits have some built in resistance to prevent overloading the battery.

When I use the stock horn wirings to power just one Stebel horn, the headlight goes to half brightness when I horn. Now I use a relay, tap directly from battery, the headlight doesn't even flicker when I power two horns.

I think I can hook up the horn myself with a relay, but what rating is the relay and if I am to connect directly to the battery, will it damage my battery as it actually feedback directly. Any1 can help???????????:giddy:

Stebel Magnums are rated 11amps. You're going to draw 11 amps anyway, whether you wire it directly to the battery, ignition, or original horn circuits. You might even draw more power if you use the original horn circuits.

The *relay, you can use the one that came along with the horn, or get a (recommended) Bosch 12V 30A relay. To prevent overloading the battery, use a 10A slowfuzing fuse. Or if you use more powerful horns, 13A or 15A.

Automotive batteries are designed for big current drains for short periods of time only eg. Starter motor. So, don't horn non-stop esp without the engine running.

*Whoops, sorry.
