Hi, just got my ST11 for 2 months from fellow forummer faun. :thumb:

 

:( Unluckily, I got hit in the rear by a car and bike was in the workshop for a month. It is out now with a new paintwork done.

 

Hope to meet up with you guys and learn more about touring and stuff related to the st11. :cool:

 

Is the ST11 inside your avatar the new colour theme?

I think so. The bike shop and spray shop were all stunned when I proposed the idea to them. I was impressed with the outcome myself. except for the side panniers. Should have left them plain.

hey dude,did you dig deeper,maybe he was using & holding handphone while he knock into you.if yes,you are in for toto claim!can shoot him "dead".

Dunno about that. It was around 11am and the PIE was jammed due to accident ahead.

 

I was riding in my lane, moving and stopping with the cars ahead crawling at the same pace.

 

When I stopped yet again, the car behind hit me. He was tailgating too closely.

 

No injuries suffered so I am letting the bikeshop settle the claims for the damages of the bike.

my CDI is bout time oledi...haiyoo..the rubber membrane melted down oledi...so im curious...

 

can my CDI be fix..?

or i need to replace a new one..?

basically how much for a new stuff...? n how much it will cost me for a used CDI..?2nd hand lah...

must wait 4 simon to reply u liao. too technical for my knowledge. but general rule is still the same, try to ask a few more shops for opinions & costs. main thing is to really confirm the prob. some shops might be able to solve ur prob without high cost, some shops might be able to get parts easily. if cant find the perfect shop then mix n match.

- can try findin out 2nd hand parts from the mech @ amk autopoint(i'm not his supporter but its true he got loads of spare parts). but he 4ever busy so if u can afford to wait its ok. if not then get him to source 2nd hand parts n go other place u feel comfortable to fix.

- if price compared to brand new isnt too big diff then get brand new instead. peace of mind for many yrs. opposite regina got quite a few shops sellin original honda parts.

- dun always depend on same shop/mech. sooner or later might become a permanent carrot unknowingly.

 

:goodluck: st1100 isnt a problematic bike. buy 2nd hand already then do it once n nice should be a fantastic ride for a long time

 

yup.. getting old!!!

 

stop idlin at home... time to go malacca/kl/genting for some touch n go trips to "exercise" urself n bike. :cheer:

Hi to all,

 

I just collected my ST1100Y.

 

Morning i ride my bike, when i move the bike off there is a metal rubbing metal sound.

The bike Temp is also high as near to the RED zone...

My bike shop told me it normal. But i dont believe them..

Can anyone advise...
