Hello fellow ST11 riders.

 

I have a pair of used ST1100 front brake disk for sale. Slightly thicker than 4mm (service limit is 4mm, still have about 50k km of life left). Confirm straight and flat. Removed from my ST11 as I had brand new disk on.

 

Good for ST11 riders who want economical straight and flat disk to replace very worn or warped disk.

 

$80 for a pair of left and right.

 

Brand new pair will set you back by $560.

The steering head bearings are gone case on my ST11. Time for replacement.

 

Any recommendation for a shop that does a good job for steering head bearing and race replacement with proper tools?

 

Does Boon Siew has the proper tools to do it?

 

Most servicing shops uses hammer and brute force instead of having the proper tools for this job. This is the reason why I'm asking fellow ST riders on recommendation.

Re wrapped the seats at 219 Auntie shop. The wrapping job was disappointing. quite of a number of staplers were loose. The seat hook does not slip in easily into the lock after wrapping. $65 for the seat wrap.

 

any recommendation for other seat wrap shop?

Auntie is overrated. Eugene Saddlery along Jalan Besar.Try asking him to rectify the stapler problem. Great job n service!

The ST11 rides like a dream after doing major service on the suspension/steering and overhaul on the brakes.

 

The engine is in great shape after 186000km, amazing. A high mileage engine of this current ST feels smoother then my previous ST that has 44000km.

 

From the ST owners forum, it seems like there are plenty of ST11 going strong at 300000km.

 

My ST engine is in its mid-life. Still a long way to go.

cool: when do u intend to go? Myself tentatively plannning for june to oct 2010 and was also wondering abt road conditions though GT riders did assure that as long we stick to main roads stx would not be an issue.

My bag tore when an innocent friend of mine leaned his hand on the pouch when he was getting of from the bike. Greetings from Langkawi..here for a biz trip.

 

Just noted that the Malaysian Fire Service fast response bikes are ST1300..apparently they mount a water pump on the back of the bike and the hoses at the side boxes! Way cool!

 

Just thinking that the rider has to contend with the weight of the bike as well as the water pump....and it definitely not light.
