good day to all,

i have stopped riding since 2 years ago after a severe accident and gotten a car since then.

well, cut the long story short.

car too ex,

parking is pissing me off! not just paying for it, but finding one is a *****.

and, i missed getting to work on time.

anyway, my license stopped at class 2A and hope to achieve a class 2 license.

but before me doing so..

just wanna check these few things.

1. how long does it take to obtain a class 2 license?

2. what are the ownership cost of a class 2 bike? i am looking at R6 or FZ6R in terms of insurance and road tax.

thank you and happy CNY

hey bro, for cls 2 it could only take about 1 week if u can chiong all the 3 courses..it took me 2 weeks just to complete mine..if ur looking at fazer6, its a gd bike man, cheap too in my opinion but for the maintenance wise its about the same as keeping a super 4, 4 bottles e.o, oil filter and 4 spark plug..:thumb:

hope u make a gd decision man..

1) Class 2 is same as Class 2A, 3 session then TP. Cant remember if got theory lesson. If im correct, there is 1 theory lesson.

2) Well for your current condition i will not suggest an R6 since you say you have severe injury. But you knw yourself more. Cos i would suggest a much comfy ride like an FZ6R if you were to choose between 2. But please be minded that class 2 road tax will be slightly higher insurance interms of bike age and your licence age and your age.

Maintenance wise for a class 2 but below 1000cc will be still ok like a 2A. Not too drastic amount.

thanks for for the advises.

even thou i am driving, in front of my dashboard is a Ducati 1198S model. so you shd know what i mean.

i miss the wind blasting in my face from the front.

i miss the moment i wacked my S4 until my FF touches my nose.

i miss the moments where i would meet up the usual gang for the usual gelang patah hoon kee, petronas and ramly.

the only hurdle now is family and wifey.

i have nv considered drz400. seems like a viable option.

:cheeky: As you ve stopped for 2 years....it is always goodness for you to go thru the class 2 course before considering riding again. As riding courses provide you the necessary upgrading / developmental skill of handling bike and proper technique of managing the road condition thru managing yrself. :angel:

DRZ is a super cheap and easy to maintain bike... more or less maintance of a 2B bike.. If u can maintain SP or Kr u can maintain that too..

JOSHUA

class2B -26/2/09

class 2A -27/7/10

class 3 - 6/1/11

class 2 - 30/8/12

But cost of running a 2b bike still the cheapest.

if no intention to upgrade, might as well keep riding the bike for transport, cost saving:cool:
