ah... what happened to him ah?

 

I quite like the extender. The eagle probably get next time just for aesthetic purposely only. But when I have spare cash to spare la.

 

Do not fix the extender to the eagle screen bcos the wind resistance is great when u going at high speed thus causing the screen to put force on ur front panel causing to crack over time...

the extender are best on shorter screen and not on taller customised screen...

yup makes sense...went to motorworld last week. asked about MRA windscreen but funny sales guy didnt metion to me abt ermax ones....I think the ma of 280mm is the best...though I am shrt, i think the max height possible is the best

they might still have it...just go to basement...the one at kaki bukit.

 

its taller than the givi...but the shape is a little rounder...you mite want to check out...when you find it,give it a good bargain...its been there since 2yrs plus...i remember when i just got the TDM...looking for screen...

 

The priced it at $160,then the abang said can give discount lah...$140 or $120...

 

which i went to chiap lee and they have the givi...he gave me for $110 i think...

 

i was using it till i ordered the Eagle screen together with Boon,Takehow and yappiez.

 

i think the MRA looks good.

well to me...yes Eagle is nice and good. But also from what I've been gathered from other forums and here and there, you won't want a high windshield when hitting the highways at high speeds, too much resistants. And also our base that holds the windshield isn't as sturdy as the STs. Our windshields tend to bend and vibrate quite badly if you're traveling at say... 160km/h and above constantly.

 

It'll probably work best if we do a lot of trunk road ridings to counter the bugs and sand but as most of our rides will have lots of highway riding, it's a factor you should consider.

 

They were saying the best height for windshields is just below the eye level. And for us short ppl (I also quite short. hee) Below our eye level is actually pretty low. hahaha.

 

Hence the Eagle for me would me for for looks than practicality. I'm sure you don't ride your ex-STX's windshield fully up all the time right? :p Oh, we should find a day to go GP for breakfast and bike wash again with Raymond Kit (Roadking) and David (Goldwing) :)

anyways,eaglescreen is all customised to our own design and size bah...doesnt mean it all comes tall...only our local boys like it taller...

hahaha...its like biscuit lah...now you see it,now you dont...

 

the ermax taller than givi and MRA...but the tip is very oval...

 

but IMO,you guys buy the Eagle screen sua...once and for all...

 

At 1st when i got the eaglescreen,after put it up,i thought it was ugly and was thinking to put back the givi,but after awhile,eaglescreen just digs...\m/

 

you want to to know what happened to my original screen?its been fibreglass to my XR...don't believe me?ask Ronald...he swears by it.

the problem about NX4 is the Engine oil reservoir is on the right side of the front shroud...

here's my friend NX4 which i helped him with the ideas and sources of the project...he rode it for about 2yrs till now i guess.

but either he sold it already or still riding it..becoz like 4mths ago,he just bought honda springer...and last month,he told me to look for him ST11.:faint: he bought the bike already modded Inverted fork and gold rims.

first stage of the project.headfairings,UFO lower front mudguard,Devol XR bashplate,DL650 handguards and twin exhaust from my XR4 project.

First i want to thank you for all the wonderful pictures. I have seen your bike and your trips on multiply,advrider and on singaporebikes. Just wonderful. And you ride very very good. Your TDM is perfect, i like the modifications - it is a real adventure bike. A friend of mine travelled many Years ago to Koh Samui and he was very impressed. When i had a very hard time during my residency far away from home and a lot of work i saw the fim "the beach" with leonardo di caprio. It was Winter in Innsbruck (Tyrol) and this movie was so wonderful,i dreamed of being there. I swore to myself that someday i will visit this island. The landscape is just wonderful.

 

I have one very very big question - i have seen the avatar bike of nukye (from singaporebikes) - always in the end of his threads. Its a black TDM with some modifications and i would be very glad if you could tell me the name of the windshield/producer,the exhaust/Producer,the engine-spoiler/producer. Some things like your windscreen (eaglescreen i think) is here in Europe/Austria not available.

 

I wish you and your girlfriend and of course your TDM a wonderful 2008 and many happy rides

any one care to comment on the way the first 2 free service works for HL??? things doesnt add up from the info i got.
