Was thinking of using one of these photos as a design outlay for either our logo or a design in the back. Quite fierce looking.

But I like the 2nd one.

If want front faced logo then maybe something like this? But smaller

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v701/plasticblackspecs/TDM900_b.jpg

The side off centre view also nice but need a better model. heee

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v701/plasticblackspecs/n528877524_713414_9723.jpg

This shot also nice but should be TDM instead of WR

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v701/plasticblackspecs/s3_3.jpg

Or how about this? The evolution of the bike. :thumb:

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v701/plasticblackspecs/Image192.jpg

I think we should be different from other groups or bikers or whatever. No need to show we ride TDM with our polo/tee. The bike says alot by itself. Boxers/underwear though that one diff. Maybe a nice TDM 900 along the elastic band? Whoo sexxxy...

Thanks for the input bros...

Better if have a drawn one....

I will try to think of something...

hey guys...and Takehow...pls read this and do something to it...even when TPS has been changed, sometimes the stalling problem still exist when we pull the clutch and before shifting the gears.

It works great after the Fast Idler pungler is clean and serviced..but overtime,it might once a while give some stirrups..

Here,i cut and paste from Minty Hippo from Carpe.i did the same thing too...but its just not really concentrated..

Just in case anyone else has had the same trouble as me with the cold start seizing, here's some info for this time of year.

There's a spring loaded brass bar by the injectors. When the bike's cold the bar is fully to the right (i.e. in the cold start position). After the engine is started and the temperature begins to rise, a wax element inside the coldstart mechanism expands and gradually moves the brass bar across to the left. If you give it a push here (see RHS view) while the engine is running the revs should drop as it moves in. Its full movement when cold should be around 20mm.

The brass bar can seize in its mount, the effect being that starting from cold in the winter may be difficult. All you need to do is spray with WD40 or light oil after cleaning to keep it mobile. (Grease may be too heavy to allow it to operate freely?) If yours has seized (like mine was) spray the area with penetrating oil and push - or in my case give it a gentle tap from the left hand side (see LHS view) with a piece of wood propelled by a hammer. If its moving OK and the cold start still does not operate I have heard that the wax element can fail - but that's another story.

RHS view

LHS view

http://i95.photobucket.com/albums/l134/minty-hippo/LHSview.jpg

Its way easy to do this compared the fast idler plunger...so,anytime you feel threatened by the stalling problems, don't hesitate to pull out the WD-40.:thumb:

Hello from Austria !

Isnt it amazing that bikers from the whole world are united in the internet and can discuss their bikes ? I like the idea. I have a RN 18 Yamaha TDM and i am very happy with this motorcycle. It is always powerfull and even on steep mountainroads you feel never a lack of power. I like biking with trips around 300 km - so i visit for example carinthia (http://www.velden.at) or the north of italy and south tyrol. There are many beautiful roads and a great view on the mountains. My wife shares my hobby and when we have both enough spare time were motorcycling together. I always surf the net in the evening from CARPE TDM over to TDM-FORUM.net to ADVRIDER and of course this forum. I want to thank again AJ for his wonderful pictures i always enjoy and the information about the TDM in nukyes Avatar. This forum already gave me a lot of tips and advices for my TDM.

Thank you all

Malaysia to ban foreigners from filling up on subsidized gasoline near borders

By JULIA ZAPPEI,Associated Press Writer AP - Tuesday, May 27

KUALA LUMPUR, Malaysia - The government will ban people in foreign-registered vehicles from buying gasoline in border areas of Malaysia, where heavy subsidies have kept petroleum costs low despite soaring prices internationally.

Domestic Trade and Consumer Affairs Minister Shahrir Abdul Samad said a day earlier that the ban was aimed at keeping foreigners from driving into Malaysia from Thailand and Singapore to fill up on cheap gasoline and diesel, which cost up to twice as much in the neighboring countries.

The ban was "a stern act by the government to reduce the leak in subsidy," national news agency Bernama quoted Shahrir as saying. His aide, who declined to be named citing protocol, confirmed his comments Tuesday.

The fuel subsidies, which were expected to cost the government 45 billion ringgit (US$14 billion; ?9 billion) this year, "should actually be enjoyed by the lower-income group in the country" and not foreigners, Shahrir said.

"This move is temporary until we come up with better management of our subsidy system," The Star daily quoted him as saying.

Shahrir said the ban could take effect as early as Friday at up to 300 stations within 30 miles (50 kilometers) of the borders with Thailand and Singapore.

Alang Zari Ishak, president of a local petroleum dealers association, said the ban may hurt tourism and relations with Malaysia's neighbors.

"It's a very harsh decision," he said. "There are other ways to curb this subsidy money being utilized."

Enforcement officers will monitor gasoline stations and signs will inform motorists of the new rule, Shahrir said. Those found breaking the rule could be fined or face up to three years in jail, said another official in Shahrir's ministry. He declined to be named, citing protocol.

Currently, foreign registered vehicles are allowed to buy only up to 5.3 gallons (20 liters), he said.

Although oil prices have soared globally, the government of Prime Minister Abdullah Ahmad Badawi has not raised retail gasoline, diesel or gas prices.
