wah good job...you so much free time ar...can do for me too?:cheeky:

Anyways....i do more easier job than you lah...replacing the rear brakepads..

And like ansmania was saying about the 2 long screws..

http://i154.photobucket.com/albums/s261/khamizAJ/DSC01442.jpg

Last year...and actually for a long period of time, maybe 2yrs ago...i've discovered my rear wheel don't spin smoothly when you put the bike to mainstand, and try spinning the wheel with your hands...at some point, the wheel just stop immediately...

That's when i discovered 1 of the 2 screws above is corroded completely...even using sand paper and file won't do the job...so i bought 1 piece from AM,$3...which ansley is whining now is $4.....After replacing it,the wheel able to spin smoothly...but please take not to add grease to the screw before you fill it in..

photo of the 2 screw from the caliper..i realised mine is still in good shape now after replacing it the last time even after an episod of a very enduro terrain on the TDM at TM...that thing goes through all kinds of sands to beach sand,to mudpools of chocalaty mud...so,grease it up before screw it in...just like the bedtime warfare..you need to grease that thang before you went for the push.... :shy:

http://i154.photobucket.com/albums/s261/khamizAJ/DSC01441-1.jpg

but to remove the screws, its best using T-wrench...in order not to rounded the screw head and hurting yourself...how i know,**** happens to me.

http://i154.photobucket.com/albums/s261/khamizAJ/DSC01447.jpg

so once the screw out, remove the upper part of the caliper.

http://i154.photobucket.com/albums/s261/khamizAJ/DSC01446.jpg

Good thing now,if we mention TDM brakepads, its easier for them to understand and know as now on the brakepads sticker label, there's TDM on it...last time,we have to find out ourselves what other yamaha bikes using the similar brakepads which is FJR.

http://i154.photobucket.com/albums/s261/khamizAJ/DSC01445.jpg

I use Vesrah for now...been using it on my dirtbikes all the while...for me,no more using SBS brakepads....i had my rear disc replaced the last time...

All done,in less than 10mins...could be faster if not for the exhaust and box...

How much is the vesrah brakepad?

Had the TDM for 2 months now, love every min of riding on it.. Just that mine is 10 yrs old now, and there are bound to be wear and tear. notice some stains of dried coolant on my engine casing, so i decided to find the root if the problem, traced it back all the way to the radiator, it was leaking between the fins.

Removed the entire radiator and sand down the leaking area.

did a pressure test on the radiator,

(best way to do it at home is in the bathroom, covering all the hole, leaving only one access to the radiator, stick a hose in, and see where the water shoots out from..)

and there were 6 holes!

after i sand down the area and dried it, i apply 2 layer of epoxy (steel Hard). leaving for 1hr to dry, then i did a pressure test again. once i confirm that there was no where else leaking, i resprayed the radiator to give it a new look and left it over for the epoxy to fully settle in. fixed everything back, and now my radiator is working great. :)

This method works great for hairline crack, small holes and etc. just thought i share.

Wat epoxy u r using? the brand name? where did u get it? Maybe need to keep it case of emergency...

i draw the logo with the TDM out of boredom at work that time... didnt like the old big font to small font for the old TDM logo, so i did out old TDM logo but of same font then integrate it into the yamaha logo.. :)
