seanwu, u make me sound so serious man hahaha no tour of duty watever lah. Will be back soon  still having a good time here. The sudden increase in bike population due to spring time here makes me miss my TDM. All the bikes here are either sportsbikes or cruisers(harleys). All 'no gahment' 100% NO original pipe :thumb: Dun see any real bikes like the TDM/GS/Vstrom.

So its no longer chiong swa...but chiong snow for you haha. So did you sell ur TDM or still keeping it in SGP?

As for the bikes here, guess all that I see here are all posing...riding around without helmets....with blonde chicks on pillion. The real bikers are probably out riding to Mexico or Alaska :thumb: Thats why we dun see them haha

Anyway, for you guys who are experiencing the clutch squeal, there's a solution here http://www.carpe-tdm.net/tdmforum/viewtopic.php?t=3833 It looks pretty easy to mod, not rocket science. Mine is ok so far.

hahaha..there are not many black tdms around you know ;) Anyway its a good deal getting an 'almost new' TDM for a good price.

*hint* i belive its got a nice no plate too! double reccuring digits XYXY

The ticking only during starting up? The FJR/R1 issue is due to the valves. TDM could be due to chain tensioner. Some of us changed it and it became ok. Maybe u shd let those who have experience changing the tensioner hear it to cfm. I can't help you from where I am now hahaha

SDR>> Nice pics you posted previously...how come its missing now?

Alright everyone...sneak peak into the latest development from TDM. Boxer Design TDM!!! I like the new side fairing...very fierce looking :thumb: Got it from Yamaha France Notice the additonal pilot light on the corner of the main headlight. I also believe its a direct swap with the existing fairing if you want to update your look.

Here's what it translate to: "The TDM by Boxer Design... TDM Sport, a new claw !

When Boxer Design considers the style of the TDM900, it comes out from it a version more sporting, more aggressive, offering more protection and more comfort... The TDM offers a new look scratched sport !"

...mmm...never had this problem. my reset onli if i disconect the batt when i m away for ^2weeks. think prob is batt or wiring or conection problem. fuel comsumption goes up alittle when its time to sev. the bike. old engine oil, wrong tyre pressure, wear out ball baring ect can cause friction thus increasing fuel comsumption.

get ur mech to check soon especially if ur going for any long trip. :goodluck:

Some told me this bike is not stable and not able to go for high speed corner. Guess it's the skill of the riders that count. Hope I don't offend any1 here.

I have this experience twice; the trip meter resets and clock sets to zero after the engine accidentally dies and recranks immediately. However, this won't happen when I turn on ignition and wait a second or two for the rpm needle to flick to the extreme right and return to zero. Only the neutral light is on to restart. Hope your bike will be the same as mine as both are Tdm900

yappiez>> eh... scrape footpeg is ok lah... dun make it sound like a stunt leh. Just know your limits when cornering. Dun think its possible to kenna the pipes unless you really let the pegs fold up while scraping.

brats>> I've never had the clock reset before from the way you describe it. It only happens if I disconnect the batt to wire my horns and other electrical stuff. After reconnecting the batt, it resets. So I suspect your earth/ground connection could be the problem. Make sure the -ve terminal is properly secured to the frame. No rust or paint or corrosion there...do a check..or could be the screw is loose.
