my mich sirac vibrates violently after 160

 

could because of rear heavy boxes..

his limit in GP highway = 130 (strong vibration), bt virus stress it at GP = 150..

My guess = nt tire prob, but other thing on bike..

 

 

 

Btw guys, sorie for absent here for awhile..

I feel that for my Michelin sirac front already vibrates at 150km/hr but can still hit 190km/hr if i tarik but when slowly down to cruise speed i need to hold to my handlebars very tightly. VIBRATES LIKE HELL... even though i already change my steering cone bearings, front and back wheel bearings...

Sirac front rating is T, rear is R. R is 170km/h, T is 190km/h Give and take let's say for those who can't take vibrations like me, minus 20-30km/h for smooth ride.

 

My tyre rating is P = 150km/h, comfortable 120km/h, 130 is dam stress for me. I feel like if I hit a bump or a stone I'll fly off my bike. But then stability at cruising 120 and below is dam shiok. All the bumps and pot holes and stuff almost non-existent. Last time my road tyre I feel every thing on the ground man.

 

Now I'm just thinking if I wanna sacrifice speed for comfort or not.

If really cannot I'm going back to BT-021. Right now rear seems ok. But will only know if/when I change my front back to road.

I was actually thinking if possible to change the front rims. 17 or 19. Like that will have more tyre options. Our 18 really very limited.

almost sold the TDM,but was shock when the serious buyer after gave discount,and after he checked his insurance quotation,then ask me if insurance and transfer already included with the discounted price given?

So i tell him off telling him,bro,i am no bikeshop selling you bike and include for you Insurance and transfer...duh!

so i guess he boring than the deal is off...can you believe there is actually this kind of buyer?you already gave 600bux discount of the bike price,yet ask to include insurance and transfer?i feel like saying why not ask me to give 1month warranty and 1year supply of petrol....

well...that's why...everytime i want to sell bike,sure got 1 or 2 buyers like that...i have always been very nice when dealing stuffs...but after you kena cake in the face far too many times,you can hardly smile when meeting buyers...

so buying and selling,if they guy really keen,buy lor...if not keen i dont wish to stand and chat for a long time...i use to have this quote,dont buy it's ok,new friend is made...

yup...i saw it but in magazines...have not seen it the real thing.arrive already meh?see if fit my budget,i might buy and sell my alu...now i also just woke up...kns,friend morning2 call me cio go trail..i too lazy to go...

the dual sport tyres should be ok leh...i dont have problems of shaking below 150km/hr...

it starts when i reach above 160....it's only less bareable around 170.but able to go to 190...furthermore i am on alu panniers...it's heavier than junior.

maybe you can try balancing your wheel,check the bearings,spin both wheels to see if it spin freely or stiff,try replace fork oil if have'nt...

The only time i suffered severe shaking is when i just started installing my front wheel to Sirac with tube and also with full loaded alu panniers with pillion during Phuket last year...150 shake already...so i have to bare riding at 140km/hr to hatyai at night before phuket.Then after i replace fork oil,change front wheel bearings,i dont have problems hitting 180km/hr with slight shake...

 

Don't worry...i was going through the same trauma like you when i just got back from phuket.was thinking issit the tyres to cause such?

But after all the stuffs gone,i think i just stick to dual sports tyres...it goes everywhere,any terrain,and it last twice longer than normal tyres...my front sirac does'nst show any signs of wear after more than 1yr...with around 20k....and it's way cheap...front dual sports tyre cost 100bux...usual street tyre cost $160....

anyways i think what could also come to play on your shaky ride might due to some suspension setting...maybe your rear suspension is set too soft...that means,since you're using sidepanniers,your rear might be sagging with soft suspension setup causing your front end too light....this could also cause the bike to wobble at highspeed...
