Is anybody around here thinking of selling his TDM?

I know AJ is, but my balls are just too low for his bike, my budget is up to 7k

So I guess, most probably it should be 850

Anyone? Or any shop?

planning a ride to cherating beach (50km north of kuantan) this weekend. program:

 

meet sat (8/8) at first link shell station at 6am...to avoid jam

trunk & coastal road to cherating beach (400km one way)

spend sat night and sun night there

ride back mon early morning along trunk road (can take a different one through pahang and johor)

 

Info: cherating beach is quite hippy with many budget chalets, restuarants, pubs, souvenir shops. it's a 1km stretch along the sandy beach with Club Med to the northern end (cant go in cos it's a private beach). The beach is very shallow and u can walk for a long way and water is up to waist. gentle waves, unless it's monsoon.

 

cost? very little. stay in the budget chalets. (rm80 gets you a very decent chalet, twin sharing). nothing is prebooked. we look and pay on the spot if ok.

what to eat? western. chinese. malay. fusion. seafood. grass.

what to do? be a beach bum for a day. suntan. build sandcastles. ride to kuantan and explore & buy salted fish or visit the malls. go for foot reflexo or massage (if dont have, i give u a sandscrub FOC). do off road riding if so desire. gawk at the other sunbathers. make friends with them. have meals/drinks with them. etc etc. dont forget to sing your marikita.

 

weather forecast? very small chance of light showers, or no rain.

i also dunno...see how lah...becoz i am not riding it sia...the only real time riding it was April for the Endau camp trip...then only 2-3 times go kopi on fri nite with ya all...all the while left for dust...if this 2 weeks no sell,i do my crazy mods liao...bcoz i tink i give it a miss with the Vara deal...

Failed my class 2 today. So, apparently, the decision may be postponed.

 

Although I will still call you someday this week, maybe I will fall in love with the bike and will buy it and keep it as the other guy keeps Africa

Aiya, baby come don't ride for awhile only. After that life still goes on. It's not the end of the world. Don't make any harsh decisions that you'll regret next time. Don't forget, it's not a bike you can just "buy back" in the future. Just lay it up for awhile if really never ride lor.

 

Like you said, it's a very good well-rounder, versatile bike, and I couldn't agree more. I was looking at the other bikes and nothing could come close to the TDM. It's a challenge I'm willing to debate

i think it's a good idea to keep the XR...it will last...maybe you can part with the uneccesary accessories...

You will love the TDM...good fuel consumption,torquey as a v-twin,smooth as an inline4,as light as the transalp650,very much powerful that your wheel can slide side to side when trottling off,parts are cheap,and it's reliable...

very same...i tell ya,i am looking at 2 varaderos....one FI,one carb...got a very good deal on the carb...i thot it would replace my AT...i test ride it,the pickup is as good as the TDM,never did try the long run though...even inquire some stuffs about it from our buddy vara thread,i still can't convince myself that the vara will ease my pocket like how my TDM have done...and i am not getting any younger to withstand the weight...

Ok...so the TDM will stay if no one offers the right price...i dont need to lay up...the insurance still got till march...just that it's not doing any riding time...that's all...but i am buying a transalp650 though...

well...that's gotti's TDM...i have lent him my blue fairings ever since he got his TDM out...

 

I have this desire to paint my TDM to khaki like the tenere...
