Sounds like the template we did. heh. But what we did was unload at Bangkok and ride to Siam Reap. For TDM's weight. The cost of the bike is equals to one person's 1st class train tickets. The bike will go first, forgot what time. 3pm I think. Then passenger around 5pm. Both arrive at about same time around 12pm I think. Prepare to fork out money to the porters. Individual, your pocket will tear. Go in pairs of even numbers at least cos the 1st class train compartment take 2 ppl. You don't want to be sharing with a stranger.

Bro, is it cheaper taking the train to Bangkok taking into consideration u dun have to book 1 night hotel stay in hatyai as compared to riding fr hatyai-Bangkok where u have to pay for 1 night hotel room in hatyai & also petrol.

As long as you reach Hatyai by 12 should be ok. Go get your tickets early so it won't be sold out. Then go chill have makan and rest. Like mentioned, bike train is around 3pm. passenger train about 5 or 6pm. All will arrive next day around 12. Total is about 12-14 hrs journey.

Why I suggest that? Cos the journey from Hatyai to Bangkok is dead boring. Though I never do before. hahaha. But rather than ride all the way up, just rest in the train so you'll have energy to burn for your big ride. Anyway you'll spend about the same amount of time on the road as in the train.

A bunch of friends did the same thing the following year and they agreed it's a better option. Spend a few more dollars, rest a bit more.

Hi to all,

Earlier I tried to start the bike but when I pressed the red ignition switch, nothing seems to happen. There was no cranking sound and the bike wont start. I thought it was due to a weak/faulty battery but my headlight, horn and signal lights are working fine. The voltmeter shows a constant voltage of abt 11.5v to 11.8v. I then turned the ignition off and on it again and after pressing the switch, the bike starts. The voltage then shows 13v and above. It has happened a few times but randomly. Anyone knows what could be faulty? Is it the battery?

i dont think that's battery, do u notice any error code on digital display ? some bikes encounter famous Error code 19, it could be due to loose cable.. or ignition key.

i encounter a few times before, press start button, only click, click sound.. then turn the handle left, right, then can start..

Apparently there isnt any error codes shown, so its difficult to isolate the problem. But I have opened up the start switch housing, cleaned up the contact points and wipe up the dirt. So far so good. Will monitor for awhile. I have also discovered something "new" about my bike today. I found out that I could remove the key when the engine is running. Is it normal for a TDM or is it just my bike?

Btw, nice LEDs you got there.. cool..

It means ur key hole "loose" oredi bro ! Happened to my TDM oso . . . went to my mechanic n HL n both say must change the ignition switch one set . Cost abt $260 excluding new keys wif the chip . Price may have changed . . . so advisable to go n check it out . Take precautions bro cos since e key hole is oredi loose . . . any keys could start e bike !

Relocate the LEDs to your crash bars.
