I'm pleased to inform all the lao jiaos here that I have started patronizing a prostitute (using joekia's analogy). And it's a twin!!!

Just took the bike from Jeff aka Fatmonk and am now sitting at my coffesshop staring at her sexy @SS & slender legs (LV titanium!!). The ride back along BKE was awesome!! The rumbling LV roared while I was cruising down only to realize that I'm hitting 120kph. But really been too long since I rode and definitely hav2 slowly get back the feel of riding a big horse.

Till we meet again!!! Cheers!!!

Noticed that the temp for the Tee climbs up pretty fast. I was merely waiting in line behind some traffic for couple minutes when I could literally see the needle going "up, up and away"... Last time I had this kinda encounter was for my civic which had fan malfunction.:sian:

Heard this is common for Tees but I'm sure this shouldn't be the case given that being stuck in traffic is a common matter. And the tiny little radiator sitting just above the header is simply too small for the monster 900 engine. Anyone has done modification in any ways to reduce if not overcome this problem?:(

what "Tee".... sound so tiny for mighty TDM, The Devil Machine.... lol..

temperature going up is normal, normally after i exit havelock to OCBC, traffic jam for 5 minute can go up to red zone. but once the fan on, it will go down pretty fast.

nobody has done any mod for fan (so far i do not know)

another way to cool your engine down is to ride faster between traffic so air flow can cool the engine down.. :thumb:

Hahaha... If there's open road ahead, u can be sure my MIGHTY TDM surely will roar away. But I'm really not used to seeing temp going to near red. Probably this is a big NO NO for cars which can burn the engine gasket. Also, I think all my previous bikes (all 9 with 6 owned and 3 loan/office's) doesn't have a temp gauge. :p

My bike is fitted with & becker side panniers by Jeff and while it's great to have luggage space, I have more confidence without them (I have a habit of going in between lanes). Hit a Audi A4 this afternoon at lavender junction! Hahaha... Luckily the H&B is plastic material and didn't make much sound during the 'impact'. Hehehe.

So I'm looking for a replacement smaller/slimmer panniers and I would need a top box. Anybody wana trade/buy/sell do drop me a PM. Cheers!!

yours 30L or 40L ?

what is slimmer than H&B junior ? givi e21. or pelican :thumb:

currently Take How and alvin are using givi e21. and i have pelican panniers (at storage room)

get top box is enough for singapore. put side panniers at home, you will have more fun on TDM.

and your 9 bikes are all decade old.. so doesnt count ... lol...

Should be the 30L?? It's 40L panniers. Can put one helmet with bit of room

Perhaps like u, i might get a top box and keep the panniers at home. Then again, I doubt I'll go touring anytime soon and probably won't have a need for them although they are definitely a good-to-have, hence thought just get a set of slim ones.

Rode whole day today to shop around and did some minor touchups. Having the panniers at the side felt good on highway when no traffic cos it sort of commands a presence with the wide ride. But when comes to minor roads with traffic piling, it was rather stressful. :p

I think my 1st bike (Suzuki RG125) is the same age as u!! Hahaha!!

hahaha ok I see the 40L in red liao, then nevermind no need....save my money and get a HB Xplorer slim and trim.

what ? xplorer slim and trim ?

That's Huge a$$ box, can fit full face...

pro

1. look nice

2. can fit full face

con

1. joints are plastic, so the case will break open if something happen (there are incidents before)

2. water leak, all Xplorer users put additional silicon inside the lining to seal it.

3. big a$$..

It's quite normal... Its get hot and cool down quite fast...

And don't waste $$$ on the so call, cooler coolant or what not... its works not much different...

If you want change / flash coolant, can get from petrol station/LAB. Save the $$$ and treat us for supper at cafe Lavender better...
