besides BMW Handguard, you can try VStrom 1000 Handguard.

Hey TDM-ers, hope someone is out there to help me with a problem with my TDM.

 

Am riding a white TDM (look like TP bike) and I was wondering does anyone here how to troubleshoot high fuel consumption for my TDM? The jump in FC (initial FC was 20km/L, now is like 18+km/L). Actually it was much worse (16+km/L) and I change a few stuff according to my mech (Planet Motor) but still cannot get back my initial FC.

 

1.) I changed Fuel injectors (this gave the greatest improvement but still not enough)

2.) changed EO

3.) Washed Fuel Pump

4.) Washed Air filter

 

I was wondering am I missing anything that I can repair/change. Any advice?

MT-09 is awesome..... Super nimble and omg the torque is incredible. But it's a naked bike so u'll feel the elements on higher speed. And for me a naked must be... Naked. Putting a topcase or panniers killed the looks.

 

Tenere 660 thumper is decent and good to have if u still wana go offroad once in awhile. Struggles once reach 140kph.

 

TDM u know better than me so I no need say liao. Hahaha

emm.. if 660 max at 140kmh.. then out of my scope liao.

 

would like to see any other choices before going back to TDM.

NC700X power is very lacking. Might as well get the CB400X. Lol..

 

My friend selling Vstrom 650. Full LV system legal (one and only in SG), Ohlins suspension, tour ready. I think it's a 05 bike. Need to prepare PQP $... Ai mai?

Errr..... Is there another way to say it lacks power?

 

To what I know... It has adequate pickup but lacks the grunt. Top speed is in the range of 160kph. U might be able to squeeze till 170+. It's definitely not a spirited engine.

 

But..... depending what u expect and use the bike for, the NC700X is a very good urban daily bike with excellent fuel consumption which is amongst the best in its class. And I absolutely love the dummy fuel tank which acts as a storage compartment.

actually.. i am looking at 150~160km cruising range.. else it will take forever to cross NSHW
