Stock is good...Choose your weapon wisely and enjoy it...you can have all the $$$$ to mod and in the end you can't make full use of it....

Right now the American market has yet to get hold the S10.once it does.I'm sure more will be avail....haha

Adv tourer is not for everyone, that I argee...it just a mere case of beauty of de beholder.lol

Nice to meet u bro Zesture at M-tecknik just now.

And I also bought the grips at BMW Parts Store just now. Installed it at my regular bikeshop at no charge. Thanx for your info.

But my issue is, it seems that the grip is a little bit short. About 1 cm shorter than stock. Did i buy the wrong one?

Still trying to get used to the bike. Tho it feels a bit heavy at times, it handles the gravels and corners quite well. Will try to post some pics when I'm back home. Nw chilling at a cafe in MHS after a hard day's ride. :)

Not sure yet. still in a dilemma whether to clear that northern route again, OR just train pass south straight to BKK clear MHS-PAI-chiang kong then in to LAOS PDR down south (Laung prabang-Vientiane) then into Cambodia Phnom Penh and back to bkk and train south again.

Still in planning stage on the route & POI to visit

Just wanna check with u guys. Some opinions or experience may help..

This is what found after a Genting round trip yesterday..

I'm currently using the Powerbronze windscreen. While the screen protects me from windblast from the top, somehow there is wind coming from below which irritates the hell of me due to noise in the helmet. The best part is that when I open my helmet's visor, no windblast sound. But when I close the visor, all hell breaks loose. Currently the windshield is at the high position.

Other than wearing earplugs, which does not help as much, what are the other options available? Change my current Arai helmet? Do u guys think the Touratech or HB windscreen adjusters bracket might help? Or I need something to deflect the wind coming from below?

Another issue I have is vibrations. I think is my 1st twin bike. Been riding in-line 4s all this while, maybe I am not used to the vibrations but my hands are buzzed after a 200kms ride, esp the throttle hand. I rode at 140km/hr speed constantly. Comparing my mirror with a fazer at the same speed, I think the Fazer's mirror is still clear unlike the S10's blurred vision. Issit normal?

Do u guy faced the same vibrations? Any recommended remedies? Or i should just get use to it as it the characteristic of the bike engine?

Sorry for the amount of questions. Just need some assuarance from those laojiao S10 riders..

Botz....ru the one whom i met during my servicing at Yamaha service center..on last friday?...if yes...hows the trip bro...for me i always plug in to mp3 so i dont really get buzz by the noise...hehe...anyways as for the vibration did you put on gloves? i have yet to feel the bike capabilities so i cant comment more. Its a preppy situation for me....i need to get the handlebar riser cos i feel my arms get strain ard wrist n triceps area....feel better if its a hi bend bar...

Only clock 5k km on this 2mth old S10 w only a few ride up to hatyai,Cameron, genting, desaru, cherating & batu pahat.hope my finding can help resolve some of your queries.

Windscreen at speed(>120) - yes, stock one will have top & below windblast.to solve top is by changing to tall windscreen(givi, puig,OEM,powerbronze etc).

Lower windblast - maybe the OEM wind deflector kit will help.just like those found on BmW GS type.currently HL got no stock and on order.once fix up will trial the kit.

Lastly, helmet design also help,my Arai XD2 will give me lots of wind from below helmet & helmet shake even with the cheek deflector pull down but my C3 with cheek curtian does not give the same problem.I will suggest it the

cheek curtain that helps.

Handle bar - vibration will depends on which T-mode u in.Tour mode will feel rough at 140 & beyond while Sport mode will found it at 160 & beyond.adjust the T-mode depends on your ride suitation.:thumb:

Throttle rocker or crampbuster are little tools that will aid in relief that numb right palm.of course LAB also have similar product however review from those was that it not as effective then the better ones.$20 vs $3.beside the price,I will go for functional.:cheeky:

These 2 features really helps. Continued my ride frm MHS to Chiang Rai thru more twiesties than I expected! The ABS and TCS gave me more confident to ride esp on the wet and sandy roads. Saved me once too when an idiotic driver swerved into my path giving me less than 20m to react... Anyway rode all the way up to the Golden Triangle and nw back to Chiang Mai..

This bike is the most secure one I rode before on the wet thai roads with ABS, TCS and Tourance EXP. Feels like riding on dry road.:thumb:

Post some pics please, this thread need more pics.
