Hi all, as discuss at kkfc we'll go thru those pages within the community and removed those that are not serving any purpose and merged those related topic/threads together with a amended topic/thread title & descriptions.

Ok this is good. However can we do some verifications 1st before we rolls out the list. I'm thinking is it outdated.

For this do we wanna do a summary of the previous outing 1st? Maybe we can go by yearly starting this year's outing so far. After the year cross over, we can make use of the existing Waverider sub section, renamed it into Cub Community Heritage or something like that.

 

For the WaveRider Sub forum, can we have a consensus how we wanna go about it. It can be renamed and used for archiving purpose after all the thread within and been properly documented, summarise and moved to the main community?

here i come and clock post again........

i mean........ the initial idea of the naming "waveriders" was not only for wave , but was for all cubs --------> "refer to the flame war happened when we fought for this cub thread"

since now the "cub" thread is there liao, i think, if u want a revamp, we must as well throw everything out into the main section ........ since we are sort of the "odd one out" now, with our own sticky.......so, to sort of like stand on the same level as the rest, i think the best way is to head start with ourselves, to join into the main page instead........

BUT

like u said, we fought for it, it is good to keep the naming there to remember the initial group of ppl who were making things happen (although, quite a few MIA le), so, keeping the "waveriders" name as a sticky for sort of archive purpose, probably will be an idea

and i suggest that ----> under the "waveriders archive sticky", probably some1 volunteer to come with a write up of our "history", to tell about how the "cub revolution" started.........(though we are not that old, yet, we are about 2 yrs old liao le)...........

it will be long.. but i tink it shld be orite.. coz u wont be coming back all the time to check back rite.. haha! the list will most probably be a once in a while thing.. coz not everyday ppl join the cub forum.. haha!

The msn list and bikers/model list should be a reference list and perhaps on a later basics only allow cubs members to acess the details....

 

As there are contact numbers there, some members may nt be comfortable with it.....

 

Either we omit out the contact numbers or only allow mods to have access to the full list of details...

As for the waveriders sub forum.....

 

Maybe Bro andrew u might want modify the section into mainly:

 

Archive: old photos/ memorable pictures ( i can help you to single out...but need time )

 

Brief history of how the whole cubs community started and hw waveriders started to establish during the cubs revolution!

 

the waveriders section as wat cs cup had said can be a corner where the info are constantly updated by mods or us and perhaps can host stickey threads for honda wave info ( like bike model explained, Archive for DIY, Price and purchase info ect)

 

So next time when we click on waveriders thread, it will then link to archives and sticky so members can view and perhaps PM mods for questions or directions.

 

Eg:

 

Waveriders Heritage( hw the cubs community started)

----STICKY: The pioneer Group YEAR 2004

in the midst of my exams preparation

suddenly something came into mind

 

was wondering

whether threads taken charge by 1 moderator, can be moved to others overseen by other mods?

 

eg: can threads of SBF Cub Section be moved into Legality & regulations related?

 

 

cos, was having the idea of, directing topics into the respectives correct threads

this may not only be for cubs, but for all other bikes, be it sportsbikes/S4/scooters/scramblers etc

 

then if possible, then what we can do, is to help highlight such threads, and let the mods do the job

Joe, we need to scan thru all those pages in waveriders sub forum and the main forum for similar thread. Merged those related thread together without losing the threadstarter's 1st post with a remarks at the top of the post as follows;-

We can start from the back of the pages and merged forward to the 1st page. It will take some time to sort out those threads before we get a organised community that knowledge-based rather than TCSS. Those thread in doubts moved it here into the committe board and we can discuss further how we wanna solve those in doubts.

sticky there for all makes of kups like sparks, x1, wave i,r,s , katana including the bike specs, own tabulations of fuel consumptions etc

it would b good for those ppl who cant make up their mind on which kups they would like to choose.

with this, alot of post actually can be removed as there is alot of post are open by guys who put 2 bike models den asking for advise

Yes it'll be good if we have this. Preferably be done like what Refugee had done here.

 

It should not be cluttered with other post like enquiry, chit-chat, etc. This info Hub thread should be the knowledge sharing thread for the community, i.e the cub community bible...

Bro y0s_bikey, would u start a sample post in the a/m thread for sparks? Then maybe the other can try to follow suit by doing one for the other makes. Once finalise, i'll spilt the post to merged into the info hub thread.

 

Bro Sky80, can u come up with a Wave FAQ? This post should covers all the wave models. Thai_R can assist him in the FAQ?

 

How about the rest from the committee board members? Any bro like to do up a post on other beneficial topics like X1/katana FAQ, etc?

Bro sky_80, ok noted. I'm already starting to screen thru the threads within this sub forum and removing all those old post like sales threads links (i.e the post was moved to the GS section) and those problem post that was locked. Will be starting to merge those related post into one common thread with a amended topic & description.

 

As if u guys had noticed, the chatterbox thread in the sub forum had already been spilt into Year 05 (locked & to remain in this sub forum) while the Year 06 will be moved out to the main community once the other thread are ready to be moved. Once the year ends, those post after 31 Dec 06 will again be spilt into a Year 07 thread while the Year 06 thread will be locked and moved into the heritage sub forum.

 

The renaming of the sub forum will only be done after the threads been sorted out, moved to the main community.

 

Some points to clarify;-

 

1. Do we want the sub forum to be read-only forum? i.e members will not be able to post new thread, reply to those archive thread, etc?

 

2. Do u guys wanna create a tag to the profile like SBF Scooter, SBF CB400s, etc
