Seems all the consumption numbers look better than mine. I only average 21.3km/l. Is it because I have a big windshield and 3 boxes? Or is it something else?

i guess u all will envy my f/c . between 23 - 25 km/l . stock spec II with box .

HI ah Pek .. thanks for letting me have that battery. after changing the battery. i felt that my bike is more responsive. more willing to rev.

even my gf asked me wad i do to the bike. how come like accelerate faster.. i guess battery dose play a part to the ignition.

Yes..ale to handle electrical load is very important to any vechicle...the higher the current a battery can provide, the better. This also work in sync with good magneto coil and otehrs like CCA booster etc..

hi ah pek check with u my vtec1 radiator fan sudden keeps running this morning (temp. indicator is off & bike feels cool with the cool weather leh). how can i troubleshoot myself? need any urgent attention a not? (thot of tahan until after CNY la)

Not to worry..just one of those wear & tear thingy uneven stuff of the shim where valve clearance is slightly off mark. Eventually after warming up or after a few week run...it be gone. But if this prolongs and gets louder..its time then to press the 'panic' button.

I can only think of two possibilties....

 

1) If you have a secondary "On/Off" switch made for the fan..likely that switch is not waterproof and shorted (lately of heavy rain).

2) Your fan switch likely internally shorted...as in a permernantly "On" position.

 

In summary...no alarm lah...some people even make their fan permenantly "ON". If you are concern..then just put out the connector at the radiator fan switch (on your left side and on the back of just the radiator..a wire sticking out). If u need help for the switch..I have spare.

Hi ah pek thanks for your advise, after CNY will make appt with u to replace the switch and also do up the water proof manual switch for head light and fan. btw when u "open shop" after CNY?

Alamak..where got shop..otherwise I won't be so freely here now and then..make money better. Kena complained b4 and ppl think I got bike shop...sighhh. Want to reeee___LAX for while lah after CNY but if its urgent, I'l chip in when I'm available.

My version S just changed battery last week and now flat again. Sigh. Any ideas why ah? Was thinking of riding into Malaysia on Friday but now all plans are fried. Anyone know of shops that open in this period?

If doing top service does it solve the prob? I think mine ticking sound is getting quite obvious even after warming up

Yuasa battery...9amp one. bike is at the bike shop now and will stay there till after the new year...sigh.

Magneto or rectifier koyak...or both. Why the time u change new battery the mech never straight away check ur charging vgoltage.? This mean that ur previous battery was actually okay..may be because it not being charge.

Hi all, would like to wish all S4 riders a Happy Chinese New Year!

 

Guys, i have some problem regarding my PB1. Recently after i have ride my bike hard and stop at petrol station to buy some stuff but when i try to start, it wont start. All lights and horns are working fine but it just wont start. So i switch off and wait a few mins, to my surprise it work and my bike start. This happen 2 times already. Some1 at work told my its the batt but i just wana make sure its dat and nothing else b4 i change the batt. Do any PB1 or S4 riders out there have the same problem as me? Thanks in advance....Cheers

 

Hmm also do anybody knows where to get the ON/OFF switch on the handlebar coz mine is already crack (old already lah)? Or where to get the whole set (left & right)? Tx again....

bring to planet and they will check for u . they wont anyhow chop . that time my bike wont start , after changing battery they check mangeto and rectifier to check whether charging or not

Bro,try check your coolant.Since you say u waited awhiel and can start again.Most likely is overhead.

Nothing to do with battery or coolant...go have ur starter switch assembly replace first..about $125 at Ah Fook.
