Hi starr

hmmm ... which part I cheat?

actually i will always do some basic post-process adjustment e.g level, sharpen

the framing just playing around and added a kind of softening effect.

this is somewhere in kota tinggi, the road was steeper than it appear on photo actually

anyway, thanks wouldn't dare to say this photo is good lah. afterall, it's just taken with a dumb super compact camera. but i do have fun playing around :)

nice sunrise /sunset shot. any graduated filter used? i suppose there is a reflector for the blue drum/trash? trying to understand why u have included the blue drum/trash in the foreground as I felt it spoils the overall scene

Thanks! No filters nor reflectors used. It's HDRed. I included it as it had lots of details on the surface and was trying out something different.

hehehe.. i call this the beginning. u will come to a point where no any L attracts your attention.

i would suggest u to get the 70-200/2.8IS which is versatile.

the 100-400L is also good, but start to hunt when lighting condition is bad. it is also a dust sucker for its push pull design. nevertheless, the 100-400L is very good for sports where reach is required and under the watchful SUN. basically to sum up for 100-400L is : no sun no shoot.

another alternative is going for 1.4x TC with 70-200/2.8IS, where the resultant is 98-280mm with f5.6 (equivalent to 1-stop loss of light). image quality is not greatly affected, acceptable to most unless one is pixel peeper.

when using 70-200/2.8IS with 2x TC, the resultant is 140-400 at f8 (2 stops light loss). so here u get the reach, but at the expense of f8 and compromising the image quality.

i am not really keen on night shot.. coz i find shooting in the nite a major challenge and need a good tripod.

i just like to shoots sports action.. muahahaha

U are rite.. No sun No shoot... for certain L lens..

F2.8 is abit steep leh the price.. i can buy an akra full system with that amt of money and got spare for brembo pump 19x20

UPZ ... for photography bikers

Wat Saket Golden Mount @ Bangkok, Thailand

super hot day ~ not a very good time to do any sort of photography

huge chedi which I'm unable to cover without any wide angle, so I opt for partial image as well as including the women to depict the size of the chedi
