If memory serves correctly, Runner has a box type rear suspension. That means 2 shocks at the back.

How was it bent in the first place?

Suspension parts are dangerous to DIY so take it to your shop for repair. If the shock is damaged he may offer to replace the part or somehow try to bend it back into shape.

Replacement is advisable as jury-rigged repairs on such a major component is not advisable.

Or your suspension housing may misaligned which saves you the trouble of an expensive replacement part but can give you worse complications.

As it's not safe to ride with a bent suspension, you should take the Runner in for your mech's opinion.

It may feel 'rideable' in a straight line but all sorts of handling problems arise when you hit bumps or maneuver in corners. Better safe than sorry!

Slightly? Sounds like a frame mounting issue.

Have you tried poking at the shock? If it's wobbly then get it repaired. If it's like 1 degree off then pass it off as the bike's frame flexing during long-term use or other stress. It does happen... on very worn out bikes.

I would still get a mech to at least check it out.

further analysis makes me conclude my engine mount might be slightly off to the right. sigh, anyone has any idea how much that will set me back for to fix it? :(

thats dangerous. at least make a trip down to your mech and ask them to take a look. if mech advises you not to ride till u get it fixed, pls dun, because you may be riding around on an accident waiting to happen.
