Dudes, I'm selling away a Yuasa YTX14-BS Battery which I bought by mistake (wrong model) from Looi's on the 20th Nov 08 for $115 (I got the receipt as well). I know this battery is not for the Busa but need your help asking any of your friends whose bike is using this battery. The guy at Looi's told me it can be used on ST11/STX. Basically, just in case you do not have any idea, it has a charging rate of 1.4A. I'm looking at $100.

 

Btw, how much is the market price for this battery as I got an interested buyer who said that LAB is selling it at $85? Appreciate your assistance, guys!

Singapore Bikes Forum (SBF) was started as a "Free to Join" Forum for all with the same interest to share tips and also to know more people in the riding scene of Singapore. However, as we grow bigger, we have to invest in our own server, bigger space and bigger band width to cater to the ever increasing members. We insisted on maintaining everything free for members.

 

However, due to the large amount of sudden members-turned-dealers situations, we have therefore started to segregate mass orders into 2 groups: Personal Mass Order (PMO) and Commercial Mass Order (CMO). The former will remains free as long as organiser can produce proof of costs, freight charges etc and no substantial markups are seen.

 

These standard rules will apply throughout the forum:

 

1. No commercial sales are to be done other than within the Products Mass Ordering Section.

2. No organising of PMOs & CMOs are to be done other than within the Products Mass Ordering Section.

3. All mechandises such as tshirts, caps etc, will be exclusively produced by GiaComo South East Asia (SBF's Official Mechandiser)

4. All sales related postings/threads are NOT allowed in any section other than in the Advertisers' Board Section. Authorised advertisers with a section within Advertisers' Board section will be able to post their sales/promotionals threads.

5. Personal sales of used items will only be allowed within Garage Sales.

6. Other circumstances will be handled in an ad-hoc basic. All postings/threads will be removed without notice.

 

In every Business we have to make a profit in order to keep our operations running. Those that have done their home work would understand that we are only earning very little to keep the forum alive. We do not trade higher profit margins for quality and we understand that due to this fact, we may not be the cheapest but definitely, we produce the better quality ones.

You can use any 12V battery as long as it fits. You can even strap a car battery to your seat if you decide to.

 

And typical charging current when the bike is running is around 10-15amps, depending on how much juice you drain when starting the bike.

Oh? That wasn't in the manual. Thanx for the info, man!! In that case, since I've already bought the YT12 battery anyone here interested?

 

FYI, the battery water has been poured in and charged, and I've used it for a few hours as my bike was in need of a new battery then as it was stuck at Toa Payoh during odd hours (when most bike shops are closed ). Too bad for the size if not I wouldn't have to waste my time and money on getting another battery .

 

Another thing, what is the reading of a working condition battery and when is the ideal time to measure the voltage? Is it when the bike's power is on and engine running, power on and engine off, or power off?

Iam riding a 2007 model hayabusa and since the beginning the bike makes a grinding sound at 2000rpm and no where else the sound softens a bit after the bike is fully warmed up. Went to the agent mechanic changed the tensioner to no avail. The sound is still audible. Does anyone out there has this same problem? other than that the bike runs perfectly fine. rev the engine and hold at 1.5 to 2k rpm and the sound will be audible.:

It has to be the tensioner as i had a similar problem at bout the same mileage as urs...N now few months back it came back again n this time my mileage was bout 76k so i changed the timing chain...its all good now...
