If you're riding a bike but not calculating the 50 possibilities in the 50 meters of road ahead of you, then you're dangerous and shouldnt be on one.

I know the weight is different, but seems like nobody knows the exact weight leh. :D

Yes, rider getting fat so bike getting slower, instead of the painful job of losing rider weight, I'm planning to spend money to lose bike weight! :D

A few brands on the market so I wanna check which one is the most value for money. No point buying XXX rims at $XXXX and save only XXkg when YYY rims is only $YYYY and cheaper than XXX rims right?

In short, I want cheap I want good, I want big breasts! :D

so if ZZZ rims at $XXXX but only YYkg then how?? :slapforehead:

front-37kg rear-48kg

i oso 1 2 shave off some weight too..

so heavy??!!! i don't think its that heavy leh:confused: i hav a dented original front rim here, no tyres. i weighed it with my 'inaccurate' weighing scale and shows that its not even 6kg.. an accurate weight should not be far from this value.

Maybe you dun get what I say lah, ok, let me try to rephrase.

If I buy brand A rims at $3000 and it is only 3kg lighter. This means that I paid $1000 for each kg weight saved.

Then if Brand B is selling at $6000 and it is 5kg lighter, I'm paying $1200 per kg weight saved.

So to me, brand A is more worth it if all else are equal. (durability, looks, etc)

End if the day, I want value for money. You get a clearer picture now? :slapforehead:

as for front rim, anything under 5kg is worth the change.. as u mentioned above, u only need to decide which one is value for money..

Yes, that is why I wanna find out whats the weight of the stock rims lor. I just realise that those selling rims never actually state the original rim weights. And I'm having problems finding the original rim weights online... :sian:

Read from the thread below that the rear wheel is around 14.5 lbs, which is about 8kg?

if my scale converter software is correct, 14.5 lbs is about 6.6kg:thumb:

for a stock rear rim, its pretty light huh..

But if what everyone telling me is true, the 3-4kgs I lose at the rims would mean I'm saving alot more when the bike is moving.

Stock is good... but I only limit it to my engine. The rest all can change! heheehe
