what's your budget?

Anything around 10k is a good starting point to put your bike at ard 220rwhp.. Normal Aspirated Engine Mods

Ard the same price gets you about 250+ rwhp using turbo... :thumb:

Woah... scaring him off kinda fast ah you? ;)

My direction is performance.so wat shud i do?

If I were you and with money no object, the first to go would be the original rims. Change them to BST Carbon Fibre rims. That in itself would definitely improve your bike by leaps and bounds! All without touching the engine. Estimated $5k

And if you still have money left to spare, a full system non legal race exhaust from your fave exhaust manufacturer. Est $2k-$4k.

To get the best out of your race exhaust, you must get it tuned and for that you would need an Engine Management System. Lots of them around, from the popular Power Commander to z-fi, etc. Est $1k and above.

If the above is still not good enough for you, get out your chequebook and lets get rolling!

1. Big Bore Kit

2. Light weight pistons

3. Race cams

4. Full carbon fibre fairings and fuel tank (weight reduction, thus its a performance mod, just like the rims)

5. NOS kit

6. Turbo/ supercharger kit

7. Iron brake discs

8. Brake Calipers

9. braided brake lines

10. brake master cylinder

For no.7-10, you must get them if you intend to mod your bike to that level, if not, you might not be riding for long.

Total cost would be around the region of $20k at least? Still interested?

P/S: You do all those mods, please dun blame me if kena from TP, or suffer from reliability issues and especially dun complain about the lousy fuel consumption!:bounce:

Anyone here want to add on to the list of dream mods?:bounce:

if going the forced induction route, stock bore is sufficient. boost will start to kick in at about 5k rpm...

if anything above 250hp.. its necessary to rebuild the entire fuelling system along with the conrods and cylinder head bolts...

the list is actually quite long depending on the horsepower range he's looking for...

how i wish i had $$ like those to burn...

There's no replacement for displacement except for a blower

there is one abt usd3300 RCC turbo system for sale quite cheap.

bro wantonio01

u can get them, juz a plug and play system. quite easy.

if you are more for track use. u may try the setup as kaieriu mention

Big bore (84mm)+ piston kit => 1441cc

ported head

full exhaust

high lift/duration cams

fuel management with after market injector

change the valve spring and the engine stub.

up the compression to 13.2 CR

you shld be about there in term of performance.

for the handling and braking take wat AKG mention and include a longer wheel base swing arm. maybe u can up the tire size to 300 or 330 to better the traction.

PS: you missed out the Port and Polished Cylinder head... with those setup the stock head flow is insufficient to maximise the power potential... :thumb:

you got my nick wrong!! :gun: :gun: :gun: :bouncefire: :bouncefire: :bouncefire:

anyways... 13.1 is more for normal street usage.. if power is what you want.. go get custom made pistons with 15:1 CR... then add race fuel such as MR1...

:thumb: :thumb: that's what they call KICK... :thumb: :thumb:

we are juz suggesting some possible mod on the busa.

his track could be those circle only. no corner de. also mainly for drag use.

Talking about port and polish... would doing it on a, erm... stock engine improve the overall performance of the bike?

Regarding my problems with fuel consumption, I'm pulling out my PC3 for the rest of the week and see if its causing it...

I really hope that its just a case of lost map in the PC3.

Would an overtightening of the shims during Valve clearance affect the engine drastically?

port and polish will increase the flow in and out of the combustion chamber. Depending on the type of port selected, there can be an increase in the volume of flow or increasing the velocity of the flow... its quite hard to achieve both...

increasing one of the will give you different power characteristics.. generally a large volume flow without the velocity will yield higher end power and resulting in a weaker lower end...

the other issue will be the replicating of the port design on for all 4 of the chambers... without the use of a proper 3D mapping of the original port design and replicating it using a CNC machine, tuning for that head port will be a nightmare... and that's when you really need to make use of the pc3usb's function of individual cylinder trim, to get the tune right for each cylinder...

as the convectional method of using a single exhaust gas sniffer will no longer suffice.. you will require individual O2 sensor on each exhaust header to tell you the AFR to get the tune right...

well, that's all theory... in practice, hand ported heads are just tuned as per normal and normally when you get some power gain, you're happy... ;)

with regards to a tight shim setting, that will just a bit of power loss and slower response...depending on how serious the problem is... :goodluck:

When it comes to Nitrous Oxide there are only two names you need to know: APE and NOS. For the motorcycle enthusiast who wants to be sure of optimal nitrous system yuning, the NOS 03000 series systems are the ultimate.Measured amounts of N2O and fuel are injected directly into each cylinder's intake port, lending control, perfect tuning and complete adjustability.

This becomes especially important for those of you who n eed super-high nitrous flow for all-out racing. The engine tuner can control each cylinder individually, so you can change the mixture variation merely by changing jets. Some special installation procedures may be required. APE manufactures billet nozzle manifolds for most popular applications, others will rerquire drilling and tapping intake ports for nozzle installation.

When you consider an increase of torque and horsepower on the order of 35-40%, it's clear that the initial effort involved insalling the system is 100% worthwhile.

2008 Hayabusa Stage 1 Turbo Kit

Product Description: 2008 Hayabusa Stage 1 Turbo Kit

Custom turbo, built with Garrett internals, will support over 400hp,

38 mm tial gate (external)

304 grade stainless steel header and flanges

braided oil feed line and fittings

oil return line and fittings

new in-line fuel pump

rising rate regulator (FMU)

fuel lines for the fuel system

polished aluminum sheet metal air box

riv-nuts and bolts for plenum strap mounts

pair valve block off plates

crankcase vent filter

boost gauge

K&N air filter

all vacuum lines, connectors, hose clamps, and fittings. Power Commander maps will be supplied with kits.

Options:

--------Heavy duty clutch springs-------$80 USD

--------Tial 50 mm BOV---------------------$375 USD

--------Full pipe and carbon can----------$540 USD

- ------Water injection--(1S with tank)------$775 USD

--------0.080" Base Spacer----------------$55 USD

--------Intecooler Option------------------$1200 USD

Due to the high compression ratio of the 2008 hayabusa and the light valve spring pressures, we recommend only running 4 psi of boost as a bolt on kit. This system will make 230 Hp on pump fuel without any engine work. For the customer that wants more power out of their 2008 we recommend installing a base spacer, and heavier valve springs, we even suggest seriously considering just changing the titanium valves out for stainless valves.

It fits inside stock body work for a very stealthy look. This system can be upgraded to over 400 HP by adding secondary fuel system and with slight engine work. No more turbo upgrades to be purchased.

all workmanship comes with a 2 year warranty ----ie. cracking pipes or fittings

turbo unit comes with a 2 year warranty

fuel pump and FMU come with a 2 year warranty

Price: $ 4400 (USD)
