Neway i have a Q and i hope u guys could help me out..im gonna get my new rear suspension soon,anything i shd do b4 installing eg. how much to set the preload etc etc..tanx in advance for all the advice..:shades:

u need an extra pair of hands to do the setting... race sag is ok to be set at between 25-28mm. compression and rebound damping is up to presonal preference... :shades:

There's no replacement for displacement except for a blower

mine is at 40mm with rider without is 10mm

yo guys izit ok to cover the bike immediately after ride since the bike is still hot?

and my bike cover is those heat resistance type :p

 

The answer is NO. Otherwise you kiss your fairing stickers (those in the middle) goodbye. I kissed mine in the past.

ok,noted..so what would u advise for comp&rebound for a 90+kg guy who frequently pillion a 60+kg lady?:shades:

depending on the condition of the oil and your springs, the comp&rebound setting is different for different bikes.

 

but as a general rule of thumb: you should adjust both the comp & rebound to such that it takes about 1sec to go from fully compressed to fully rebounded, taking the same amount of time to compress and rebound.
