No problems buddy ... we should take care of each other as we uphold the same riding spirits with the Peregrine falcon.

As for 99model, there are a few common faults. Fuel pump, subframe crack, exhaust popping and power jerking with aftermarket and chain tensioner are usually the ones happened. Sometimes again depends on rider themselves and luck with the bike. Chain tensioner and removing pair valves fitting aftermarket pipes are for sure.

If 3/4 tank no problem then it should be ok. It must be that fuel savagery.

not 3/4 tank..my bad..much lower...like 1/4 filled tank...which translate into 16-17 liters refill to top up....I suspected the full tank higher pressure corrected the glitch....so it must have something to do with fuel tank pressure...and the associated devices...

What happen to your torque numbers ? They are the most important !

What are your rpm that reaches the peak torque and the drop ?

what are yours? instead of asking so many questions.. time to give some answers...

as for my k3.. i already pushed it back to excel in 2004 aug.. so i kinda can't remember the torque figures and the peak power at which rpm...

so how about yours?

- What is actually the measurement of ibs/ft = pounds per foot ?

Eg ... If the engine produces 100lb/ft of torque at 1,000 RPM means at the end of crankshaft is strong enough to hold 100lbs on a lever 01footage the end of revolution. :D

hehe.. sorry.. i dont build the engines.. i just ride themm...

i think i am like alot of those riders that dont really know alot about engines.. and perhaps even if i took the time to read up.. wouldn't really understand everything.. but, i do like the riding bit.. and i find that biking is such a good hobby.. that there are many kinds involved.. some just love to Own, some just love to Ride, some love to Build, and some love to do all...

as for me.. i guess i love to ride.. and i dont mean touring.. i enjoy track riding more than aggressive road riding... but its simply too expensive a hobby.. so i have to limit myself lots...

so who wanna post their BHP and torque figures? or issit a secret? too sensitive? like giving away vital statistics or age for females? :cheeky:

I had a chat with a Jap online regards to Hayabusa mods ... he send me a few effective simple mods that makes me drool ... ... :thumb:

Ready money is 12k-15k. Bike is 100lbs lighter than stock and is only 180RWHP but scary ... ... Very reliable mods. :thumb:

There is no big alteration on engine, geometry set-up or whatsoever, pretty stock form. They believe the Suzuki engineers had did a deep research on the Hayabusa, must leave it as it is.

Care to share some of these mods?

Thanks a million mate...you made me a happier man now....after my posting yesterday, I goggled...some hayabusa forum mention about 99/00 fuel pump, fuel filter and kinking of fuel hose...I will try to sort this out first...here at KL...just to add..when the tank is full everything seem normal...so the probblem occur at 3/4 tank and below...

Hve you change your fuel pump before? There are 3 filters inside your orig. '99 Busa fuel pump. Many change to the '00 and it's ok. Probabably a clocked up within the pump. Budget constraint? You can actually service the pump but it will eventually come back again.

Not too sure about the pricing for that set of tires. But base on Bridgestone's usual pricing, I think it should not cost more than $400. :cheer:

And yah, you are rite about the tire pressure. Do slight admendments to suit your own style lor.

Not true in some sense ... I had a good chat with the states speed manic, was advise not to rise the rear by shortening the dog bone at most half inch and that rise the rear tail by 01inch. Anything more than that is gonna suffers.

So it's true rite? Just the degree of affection...............http://smilie-land.de/t/e-h/furz/furz0009.gif

hi guys, can anybody help me on this?

recently i notice that when i maintain my rpm between the region 3-3.5k, there will be a sudden surge of power, on and off, on and off, throughout the ride resulting in a really unsmooth ride. it's like u suddenly throttle abit more. what could be the problem? i'm getting to try if there's this problem at other different rpms. i'm not very verse in the bike technical terms, need advice from you guys.

fuel injectors dirty or wat?
