Owning a cl2 bike: should I get a 2b bike as well?

Owning a small transport bike is practical when you have to travel long distances regularly, e.g. McRider, dispatch, daily commute across the island.

 

But if your mileage is not too much, just stick to one bike. There is a few do-it-all bikes around. They have the power of a previous-gen sportsbike (still good if you asked me), comfortable riding position for the long haul, and look good with box and panniers. The most popular ones are probably Fazer and VFR.
