If to go Thailand via the other side of Malaysia without using NSH, how to go by the coastal side and how far distance compare NSH, time? Ani1 try b4? Now log cardless, wat can we give to custom? For cars, do we nid buy Thailand insurance? :help:

 

 

 

I remember there's someone ride up Thailand before using the coastal side. Wonder he now active online. :dozed:

it is better to book the hotel via online first or simply just drop there and visit the tour agency down there?

On average, every three days, 1 motorcyclist or a pillion die or is seriously injured in a traffic accident. Riding a motorcycle is dangerous enough. Riding recklessly is Suicidal.

i'm planning to ride up this coming dec holiday between 20 till 24. It just before the chrismas and 20th is Hari Raya haji. Do you think its better to book the hotels through the tour agency in hatyai itself or do it online. The other thing is, anything that I need to be extra aware of going around that time?

don't speed. the malaysian tps are extra vigilant during festive seasons. not unless you don mind donating $$ to the malaysian govenment.:cool:

I tink u can jus book thru the agency wen u reach since Hatyai very quiet lately. Even the gung hu Malaysians oso avoid the place not mentioning s'poreans. If u really wanna play very safe (Hatyai city got more then 10+ hotels within 3km radius) giv the agency a call.

Why are people avoiding Hatyai? Anything happen recently which you can share with me? Btw, I was also thinking of going to Puket from Hatyai and like to know if anyone have tried that. The distance, how long it will take and if its safe?

it jus that the roadside blast this yr scared the tourist esp those frequent visitor s such that they choose other town to visit instead (eg.Danok). I feel Hatyai still safe lah jus b careful lor.

pay at the tour agency, they will giv u a hotel voucher for chk in. can oso change $ there. massage voucher oso can b bought at THB180 nett for 2 hr (no oil).

Any idea what time the booth/stall at Sadao open to buy insurance?

 

Not quite sure about the time for that booth at the border. I usually get the insurance from an office near Florida Hotel there in Hat Yai. It's cheaper for sure...
