Chalet Unit Number - D07 & D08

 

Event : PK Chalet BBQ cum Mass Gathering 2010

 

Date : 10 July 2010.

Time : 1600hrs - Sembawang Park Carpark.

Protection Fee (for BBQ food etc) : Not more than $15.

Attire : Phantom Knights Polo shirt (if you have).

Who can attend : Open to all PKs and non PKs and friends...

I have booked 2 chalets (free entry) side by side and they are a 2 storey type.

 

Those who drinks (alcoholic drinks), can sleep there, not enuff bed space, just hug each other. No drinking and riding/driving is allowed.

 

D05 is a rather big carpark, we can park all our bikes there. Convoy meeting point kindly see 2nd post below.

What :

There will be a mass convoy from a designated place to the Chalet. Route etc, will be posted here in due time. This is an experience of a lifetime to join in a mass convoy, especially those who did not experience one b4. I can only say this "The feeling is GREAT!".

 

Upon reaching designation, there will be games and ice-breaking session.

 

Next will be the BBQ session... lets hope our PK Chef can join us, you know who you are! wahahaa...

 

Lastly, I am planning a lucky draw session as well. Lets get the sponsors coming... :D

Convoy Riding Component

 

Start Point - Sembawang Park Carpark

Meetup - 1600hrs onwards to mingle and get to know each other...

briefing - 1645hrs

Move out - 1715hrs

Arrival - 1815hrs

 

Route

Sembawang park - SLE - TPE - ECP - Chalet

 

total distance is 40Km and below, time to complete is 1hr +-30mins.

Although route is long but this has the smallest possibility of heavy traffic, only place to expext slow downs are from Sembawang park to SLE itself due to the numerous traffic lights.

 

For all official big convoy riding, i require a minimum code of conduct from all riders, hence pls read up on below article, no nonsense and showboating are tolerated.

 

Here are some highlight when riding with the KNIGHTS.

 

In the big family of Phantom knights, we emphasize alot of defensive/safe riding.

Some of our Phantom riders are new riders on the road, Whom might not rode in a convoy group before. We'll glad to impart courtesy road practice, proper convoy formation and to cultivate good riding habits that last a lifetime.

Regardless you are a old timer or a new rider, I hope you'll just spare a few minutes reading up this to prepare yourself to ride with the KNIGHTs.

 

A guideline when riding with the Knights. ( I know its a hassle and tiring to read on long writeup , so I just keep it short and sweet )

 

1) Courteous Counts - Interact more,Smile,Say Hi !

 

2) Punctuality - Wont be nice to let the whole group to wait for one. If you gonna be late, do inform in advance with at least a sms!

 

3) Follow the Traffic rules and Regulation - Do not feel pressure, Do not speed, We will WAIT in all scenerio.

 

4) No stunts and indecent act! - We aint clown isnt it ?

 

5) Always in protectective Gear- Not in your pyjamas or marketing attire!

 

6) Keep in staggered formation and never to overtake unnecessarily especially overtaking lead bike. Always signal your intention.

 

7) Lost - If you are lost, call or msg someone. might not be immediately. wait patiently for call for direction to regroup.

 

8) Remember, there is no GLORY if you crash . Ride Safe. We are here to enjoy our ride, to learn and share.

 

9) Give way to other road users, we are the main nuisance slowing the traffic down not them.

A good timing to have such an event.

I'm new to riding and owning a Phantom...would like to get to know more PK people and learn things from you guys. Will consider joining for the mass convoy experience if there is no ongoing exams! :D

100% local. No way such an event will be based overseas for now.

 

As for p-plate volunteers, u guys shd not worry. P-plate or not, on the road all are equal (except bike cc, hahaa)...

 

Go for FNO, get some exp, by the time Chalet comes, you will be ready to take on some roles.

 

I will be leading the convoy, so no worries abt that. What we need are volunteers to plan the games event, and also markers n sweepers.

Just took up photography nia lah and tot will be good exposure for my friends and I! Well if cannot it's ok as some of the faces/bikes are 'copyright', hehehe....
