Just to share with bros out there who r looking for very cheap motorcycle boots. Went down to Beach Rd and saw some shops selling zipper motorcycle boots for $30+ to $40+. Checked it out and discovered that the leather was thin and the sole too. Can't expect much for that price. But what amazed me is that it comes with and additional layer of leather at the gear shift part. Asked the aunty whether can last long, she said good enought if can last 6 months to 1 year liao. Most of her buyers so far no complaints, they just buy. I bought 1 pair and using it for 1 week so far so good. Felt light and thin though compared to my Sigma long boots which lasted only 6 months and torn on both boots. Well I paid peanuts I get peanuts.:cheeky:

doesn't look too bad for 30 bucks plus product.

could be a good alternative for those who need a pair of riding boots for the short term.

February 2011 - March 2012 = Phantom TA 200

March 2012 - August 2013 = Suzuki Impulse 400

Present = BMW (Bus, MRT, Walk)

This type most likely rain = socks becoming black. Keep it well polished to help keep the water out. Used something similar before, not bad but not enough protection for my tastes.

beach road army market is a pretty good description already.

i went there to look look.. only found 2 shops selling the pair that TS bought. and out of which, only 1 of them had regular sizes available.

didnt buy cos i decided that i didnt need them.

i remember seeing lower cut boots, but only maybe 1 or 2 pairs.

TS apologies for going off topic from CHEAP, but I feel that a quality pair of boots is worth investing in.

for those looking for a good daily riding waterproof gortex riding boots, i would suggest TCX jupiter, available from chiap lee, at abt $180 or lesser??? (errr... can't remember the price...better to go down and check)

yes, its PRICEY, but it was worth it IMHO. I have been using it for more than a year and it is just starting to show moderate signs of wear on high usage area.

Decided to invest in it after having 3 pairs of GOOD shoes destroyed by BBDC 2B bikes...hahaha... it has served me well and it played a part in getting my 2B on 1st try.

Grippy sole (much better than my nikes or adidas), above ankle cut, and WATER PROOF.

Being boots they come with long laces, so I tie it "army style" using the multi loops method.

Here's a review of it by webbike world http://www.webbikeworld.com/motorcycle-boots/tcx-jupiter/

Wah.. dun wear slipper bro...

Very dangerous... Convenient yes but safe? Not at all.

Never take the chance with slippers on a bike...

I wear boots as often as I can... safest way

And if your boots have laces, make sure they are tucked in to prevent them getting stuck in your foot pegs..

Its not about hard you can hit, its about how many times you can take a hit and remain standing

As requested.

I have the same pair as this, also got it from Beach Road. But not suitable for heavy rain, like the first Orchard road flood. I usually wear my rainshoe on top on my boots, but that day I lazy. During the ride, can feel my whole boots full of water. Lucky got spare socks in my box.

Light rain still ok, but not heavy rain.

Just an update of my boots. Beginning to "open up" at the front portion but a little bit only. Maybe the glue not that lasting?? It's been wat?, 6 months already? So far still wearing 'em with a rain shoe cover standing by....:p
