A short review on the Gilera Nexus 300ie

I experienced the same, my mileage is 10400km, need to check it out at bike shop soon. I let it rest for 30minute then ok liao, I just top up the coolant. Any one same experience?

 

 

My friend Nexus stalled when he stop at traffic light and couldn't start after that. So he pull to the side and try again. The engine crank normally but cannot start. So he waited for 10 mins and try again, same thing happens crank but can't start so he off it and try again and it started. On the way home there wasn't any problem.

Can any forumer please advise what should he do. Thanks.

Suspect maybe water inside tank as suggested by agent. Does your fuel cap comes with an arcrylic cover which prevent water from going inside. Although i seriously doubt that it is due to water as if water is the culprit it shouldn't start at all even after waiting for half an hour.

Yes. Should put arcylic cover at the petrol cap for gilera nexus 300. Coz b4 i start my bike, i open n check the petrol cap. There is water inside especially park at open carpark during raining day. Now, luckily i fixed the arcylic cover.

saw another one selling at Ubi but that one got into a accident side fairing got one plam size hole and quite alot of scratches.. milage also quite high.. so i forget abt it.

this evening i when to Ban Hong and saw the FBE red nexus 300 12k milage selling at $8k.

which i think is abit ex as brand new wan was abt $8k plus only.

 

anyway the uncle say maybe in 2 or 3 mth time will have New Bath of Nexus 300 come to shore!! he said maybe otr is abt $11k. [dont know real or not? or just wan me to buy his bike?]

What is the average Engine Coolant Temperature of fellow nexus 300 riders?

Just discover my friend's engine run at middle range temperature (6 bar, 2 more bar to overheat) even riding on expressway at night.

When i put my hands at the exhaust end about 30cm away it's so hot that it burns my hand

I check the coolant level and it's enough.

the design everything look almost the same with nexus beside the headlight.

It seems to be the exact model even the headlights as nexus, just a rebadge. Clever use of body stickers to modify the look especially the white version headlamp area to make it look bigger.

Yeah, contemplating between Downtown and nexus which to get. Have considered others but price, spare parts, maintenance and storage is top concern.

i called AC motors already and tired future scooter, de xing, Tai hin, Motorworld, ah boy all don have stock. have to order. the givi rack cost more than $200 is it? i saw a nexus 500 with the givi rack.. very nice top quliaty

 

i read in this thread that some of u guys when to SK and got it for ~$180
