@Shunpo, get a 2A haha

@meow, Yeah initially, i thought my analog will be not working. don't know how they do it.

Actually my speedo after they do the wiring. it became wierd. In the past, it when it reach 70 and above it will move between 70-80 and likewise when 80 it will move 80-90 so and this goes on. Now, whenever you start riding same problem occurs, but after some highspeed travelling. It will stabilise

The digitalmeter is crap -_-", there's flaws

One of it is, under daylight i can't see it carefully, and somehow it's always tilted as it's not tight enough. can't see it properly too.

It's still not calibrated properly. But it's very much to the correct car speed as i ownself tested it with my HUD. The digital meter is as follows

DigitalMeter 61Km/Hr = Correct 70Km/Hr

DigitalMeter 66Km/Hr = Correct 80Km/Hr

DigitalMeter 73Km/Hr = Correct 90Km/Hr

DigitalMeter 81Km/Hr = Correct 100Km/Hr

So basically, just follow the 66, 73, 81 rule and should stay fine!

I think a refund is in order! Lol.

for those 2b bikes their speedo is connected to the rim, thus the speed is not tat accurate as compare to 2a and above. its due to tyre size actually. as for those analog meters swinging here and there,it must be the oldness of the bike itself making the mechanism inside the meter to wear and tear and become not accurate as new ones,my cbr400 last time also got this prob sometimes.

I see .. So that kinda means digital speedo on a 2b wont be a good investment ?

OK here's the plan for the second dawn patrol:

Meet up at Kranji again, same place, same time (0530-0600).

This time we will go round the northern part of Singapore. Although Woodlands -> Sembawang is a densely populated area there are some lesser-used roads that you can cruise on more or less forever.

Head for Yishun Ave 1 and from there, recon the highway from Seletar to Punggol (last time I checked there was about 500m left incomplete. Retire at Anchorvale MacDonalds around 7.00am for breakfast.

The Seletar East Link recce can't be done at night because the street lamps will be turned off. Only a handful of our bikes have good enough lighting for pitch-darkness riding.

There may not be any / much video recording for this one as I will prefer to lead the group because some complicated navigation will be required in Sembawang/Yishun area.

Beautiful, I can join in then (:

PM Me the exact location, if I can come, would love to join in.

Not even close...=p

Won't be joining you guys again this Sat.

I just confirmed some details with Mr Meow about certain portion of his planned route as I have been there both in day and night time not too long ago. This will be an interesting trip but Spyder's trike may have some problems at a certain part.

Lol. That's the "unconstructed" bit I was talking about. No idea why they aren't closing up the last 500m to Punggol despite it being more than a year since the highway was finished. It would be a perfect shortcut from Seletar to Punggol.

The offroad bit can be tackled on foot, no big deal. We'll just use the motors as a means of transportation like "mounted infantry", as opposed to the "cavalry charge", lol.

I'm up for this wkend :D

no preference for timing

All invited parties have been notified by SMS.

Pls note we have limited "slots" as the convoy cannot be too large or we can't visit heavily populated areas. There's always next week, or if there's enough demand, the TPY dinner meet. Safety is the primary concern so we aim to minimise waiting time, and keep the group small enough to be agile.

wah... although the spyder might look like an ATV-wannabe... but it ain't one, still a rear wheel drive trike lar, can't go off-road nor pushed around on foot. And its a major PITA to wash it if it gets all muddy. kekeke... :D

I was thinking of a mass bike wash and DIY maintenance session after the ride but I don't have a suitable location in mind at the moment.

Today at Planet.

Fitting a newly chromed TA150 suspension.

Planet ran out of Chex motor oil due to good sales, supplier can't keep up with demand.

Also saw a KR with Mazda pillow lol

Now changing clutch pack and later, replace front suspension. Seeing if i can get ah chong to stiffen the front suspension up for proper monstery cornering action :-P
