What tires are you guys using on your VFR?

I am finishing my 2nd set of Z6.

Any tires to recommend?

Using BT014, the previous owner put it on just before selling it so I have yet to change. Its for more sporting section of the sport touring tyres according to bridgestone. Great for corners and since I dont go up/down NSH very often, the tyres last me for more than 6 mths. Considering the Z6, hows ur experience with it?

How is the BT014 on wet condition?

Z6 is a very lasting tire, I think my both pair last more than 25k mileage each.

But strangely for me, both pair of Z6s suffer cupping at the rear.

Very dangerous on uneven grounds.

There is a new Metzler type coming out soon. It's Z3 or M3. They will have a launch session at PG. See the track section. This is a race tyre but has a long lifespan (similar to BT014).

At normal riding speeds/rpm in SG, it is not noticable at all. But tried taking it full ball to 255~258kmh on the usual petrol sessions, somewhere between the 10~12k rpm range. It ain't as smooth, most noticable at 6th gear. After a few runs or fresh petrol it will be back to normal.

By the way, petrol will turn "bad" as it absorbs moisture. This in turn alters the combustion stochiometric content.

sad sad to say......... the MAX i've ever went with my Viffer is only 230.... cross-winds too bad, didnt want to push any further...

after tat, most of the time were with the side-panniers, so not too comfy going too fast.... i'm sure your 255kph is attained Without the panniers rite Stan??

So far I have reach only 200km/h and that's with the panniers, I could have push further but there were traffice coming up so got to slow down. I thought with panniers you will be more stable due to the weight. But then I could be wrong.

You can "cut" through the wind better without panniers :)

try when there is no crosswinds. from GP esso till Kulai is ok. I can't really clock that high anywhere from the kulai exit on NS highway. always got crosswinds

Yesh 255kmh is w/o panniers. With the panniers, only like 240~245kmh nia :sian:

Try only when clear. Got traffic slow down is good :thumb:

A heavier mass makes an automobile much more stable. Imagine when at static, the amt of energy needed to jolt (maybe small rocks/humps/pothole etcetc) it is equivalent to mass x g. So the higher the mass, the less significant the force felt on you (when hit my the same force of jolt).

With the panniers at high speed. Its like sticking ur head out of the sun-roof when the car is going at 150kmh!  it unsettles the automobile due to a non aero-dynamic flow of wind, creating a "lift depending the different velocities of flow of air between 2 sides of a single piece..
