Hi... does anyone know anything about the black VFR at Looi's? Considering it... apparently first owner didn't like the posture. Any help appreciated... thanks!

hi motobiker,

i normally dun on my headlights at all even at nite, i use the small positional light which i suppose is sufficient for SG road lamps condition, i guess our headlight is 2 bright n glaring 4 others road users..... u may need it if go M'sia

sent my bike to L**i's n the mechanic told me there is a VFR exact same problem as mine.... his bike was sent to Boon Siew twice 4 the troubleshooting but 2 no avail.... end up at L**i's..... it was believed that VFR/RVF have these electrical battery/Rectifier/Regulator long fault histories.....

even my previous RVF also made me change a few batteries n R/R within 2 years

they said my coil needs to b change n could only give me the quotation on Monday.... dunno how much damage its going cost this time round.....

really hope that Honda could improve on their Electrical part.....

Hi TourXcrosS,

Is the bike in your siggy yours? Like the side panniers it has... know where i can get them?

Price and location?

Thanx

I think at least 19k... before insurance. Thinking between this and a CBR1, which is another 3k more at least... hmmm... tough choice.

was at Looi's yesterday, the black VFR, think its FBA 4101, is jus sold last nite, think at $19K. Err, bike is pretty empty, no accessories....

BTW, i'd ordered my own side-panniers on my (ex)-Viffer on my own thru a local contact. Price is ard S$1,900, depending on foreign-exchange rates, anyone needs help thru this can let me know.....

To all the experienced VFR riders out there, can I ask what are the “must-haves” to add to a stock VFR 06 model? And also the “good-to-haves”?

Must-haves:

- Rear hugger? Motoworld says must order… just over $200.

-

Good-to-haves:

- Side-panniers.

- Sliders? (but must drill holes… 8-(…)

- Higher windshield.

- K&N air filter.

Thanks for your advice!

Thanks for the tip... do you know a reputable place to do this... I think that's impt cause the alignment after the change is so important, affecting steering etc. I once saw a bikeshop change the bars for someone and never got it quite right at the end... crooked...

Can I check if there's another VFR thread in this forum or elsewhere... there are lots of good tips here, especially technical ones, but the thread seems rather dormant at times.

How many VFRs are there in Singapore anyway? Don't see that many on the road.

Anyway, I love it.. it's more than what I expected in every way...

But I guess u guys already know that... :cheeky:

My clutch housing is getting loose.

Mechanic mentioned to me that pins holding the plate have worn off.

Has anyone bother to change or repair that?

What is the consequence if leave it alone.

I had almost heard the same answer everytime:

"No point repairing as it will come back again".
