Has anyone experienced the engine dying on you while taking a junction corner in 2nd gear? Speed is not slow, probably 15-20 kmh… so what could be the problem? Fortunately, noticed it stalled, so restarted ignition immediately and proceeded on beyond the corner. Puzzle to me… hope it doesn’t happen again.

VFR800 in singapore are mostly export model out of japan and thus no speed limiter are installed.

For new bikes, just check with a reputable distributor on speed limiter.

Parts are easily available from Boon siew, Eversuccess or other honda spare parts stockist. No issue on parts availability.

I am currently looking around for bike shops that bring in Vifer....So far, I only have Mah Motors on my list. Are there any other bike shops that bring in Vifer with a reasonable price?

Currently I am saving money to get a brand new VFR800. I intend to keep the bike for long bec I have fallen in :lovestruck: with Vifer....:cheeky:

Try Looi's at Ubi.

It's a great bike... didn't know how good it was till I took it into M'sia... silky smooth engine, stable at speed, good protection from the elements, comfortable and beautiful design (to me anyway)… can’t decide which bike I want to upgrade to in another year’s time…

No regrets!

Thanks sfowner. I will make my way to Looi to check it out.

I strongly believe that I will not regret getting the Vifer. I like the look, the power (just nice for me), and the comfort. The most important is the Fuel Consumption.

The price for a new Vifer is on the high side. I can easily get another 1000cc for the same price I pay for a brand new Vifer. But I would not mind saving and paying for something I like. I still have not decide what colour will I be getting. Therefore I am taking my time to think it through.....:cheeky:

If I'm not wrong, the latest model comes in quite limited colours. Mine's the glossy metallic black. Good luck with your search!! :cheer:

Hi Viffers, jus to share, saw an accident on Sun nite, along Changi Rd & Telok Kurau. was btw a car and a maroon VFR800. think (not sure) that the rider is a pretty young malay chap. poor fella was knocked pretty badly, but think his HJC carbonfibre fullface saved him.... hope he's survived well....

The VFR 800 vtec is an excellent sports tourer with 2 side pannier box , for top speed no way as compared with cbr engines and also it takes more fuel can consider a second hand bike . :giddy: :giddy:
