just came back from china+HK+macau trip, all i can say is SG road users are noob and rude and reckless. hahaha i think i myself is noob compared to majority of those road users over there.

ride safe people and fellow 2b learners.

oh on a side note, during my warmup for TP i got a bike which is super slanted and the signal knob was gone only left the stick. super super super chui bike, i stalled my very first time on slope in my 2b learner period.(imagine my ebrake when i straighten my arms, need to straighten in a direction...) butttttt don't worry TP those bikes will be quarantined. :) its just for warmup.

my tp warm up bike is fine, but during actual test, end up getting one bike machiam no biting point, it's at the very end. very hard to move off cause i scare if release clutch too fast stall, release clutch too slow haven't get biting point, tio for delay move off! tmd sia! but heng heng still pass.

2B TP second try - 11/11/10

First bike - NSR 150 SP - 22/11/10

2A TP first try - 02/08/13

Second bike - Honda CBR400R - 10/08/13

Current bike - Honda CB400SF Revo - 19/09/14

Woah TP that time is they randomly give you the bike 1 arh?

BTW I passed lesson 8 with 14 points.

Damn sway I kena total of 8 points for kena stall when stopping @ emergency brake there, delay in moving off, slow in restarting bike, and incorrect posture Not only that try beri hard to find neutral gear cnt find cuz hv to kick quite hard, then the 'N' also cnt see whether lighted up or not cuz today veri bright. 30 seconds of fiddling with the clutch and gears, instructor call me "Ehhh, got try the kick starter or not (in the damn tulan voice)?!?" Do alrdy then work liao, lol...

Book TP on 27 Jan, anybody also on that date?

Haha, used to pump Shell 95 petrol, but ytd ride till far then went to caltex pump 95 premium like alot smoother, i think going to switch petrol. hmm, also going to change 2t once i finished mine.. if you riding two stroke next time, those small factors can cause riding style.. hahas

I guess caltex petrol does clean the engine for smoother ride.

Yea, 2 stroke quite sensitive.

If u use higher octane fuel, they would burn quicker. If your bike is stationary and air-cooled, cause additional heat to the engine. (Old man's theory, doubt if true or not)

Going for 4 stroke, easy maintainence and fuel efficiency is the way to go for me...

I doubt I can afford SP fuel consumption...

For the filter lane, bikes should line up a single row in the middle. I think cars should not be able to squeeze with you at the filter lane.

Anyone wanna do road revision?

No way to skip, unless people cancel then you quickly book the slot. If not, have to wait for next slots.

Why stop for so long?

hi. help. i very sian already sia.

failed my TP test 4 times already. time and money can be better spent elsewhere. for the last 3 test i have no IF, they just keep giving me points. 28, 32, 30, etc. usually points come from pylon slalom (too slow, 4 points) and ebrake (not enough speed, 6 points) (i have phobia of ebrake as i skid and fell before and went hospital :/) and then the rest of the points is RANDOM. lol. i bought my beloved bike for 5 months already. any tipsssss. tyvm in advance.

you have already listed out which areas you are having problems with. all you need to do is to practice until you excel in all of these areas...

and as for your emergency brake... you must overcome that phobia. it requires your speed to be above 35km/h... and surely you would be riding a few times of that speed once you have your license, even for the part of tp test on the road you would be travelling at 50+... a basic skill it is, and it saved my life at least once... so you must master it. apply more front brake than rear, release the brake pressure for a split second and apply pressure again if you realise you are skidding (keep your balance!)

don't be disheartened ok, continue looking forward to getting your own busa one day yea? :cheeky:

For pylon slalom best no to use rear brake at all, but still use when necessary. What I did was open the trottle when on the left of the cone, and when turning right of the cone I just close my throttle. This is such that you do not get too fast but fast enuff to pass.

Ebrake impt thing is to lock your arms, people drop bike during ebrake because they nvr lock arms, hence the front wheel steer during the ebrake and due to the high pressure on the front wheel, they lose balance and fall. If you wanna be safe, go over the 35km/h and let the bike slowly decelerate when nearing the line, then brake when you just cross the line.

Random points may come from not checking blindspot and poor general riding (such as wide turning which I always get).

i think u need to gain your confidence in riding. once u have that u will maneuver the bike better and a lot more smooth.

pylon u need to throttle the bare minimum but everytime u go past a cone successfully u can throttle alr, then control the speed before going to pass the next one.

e brake, its 30-35. 3rd gear by the 2nd lamppost. just maintain 30ish-35 and straighten ur arms earlier. front more rear tap a bit can liao, front apply pressure gradually. lock ur arms really because i fell once (luckily not serious) because my arms weren't lock.

tp is all about confidence, safety and how u manage. i believe u have not shown them the safety and competency with bike in circuit/road.

of course when u out riding in the real roads, no fig8 la, no crank la no narrow plank la but i tell u all these trainings are building up the competency in riding. eyeline, braking distance, ebrake esp impt when cars swerve out and the many more lessons we take back from the driving centre.

go for more CR n RR(tell instructors ur weakness, ask for help), or even ask ur friend to pillion u. i had my friend pillion me once and my whole riding style changed, i was like in pract4 then. :)

my 2cents and wa ur bike 5mths sitting in ur carpark is really ouch. c'mon u can do it! :)

hi. thank you so much to you all. hmm. i feel that i'm quite comfortable and confident with riding. maybe overconfident even. the funny thing is there are some instructors who recognize me (prolly cos i'm in there for 1 year already) say that they see me ride in road revision (my booklet the revision part stamp until need to staple a new piece of paper to stamp) and they say i'm already riding quite well and they are also very puzzled why i cannot pass. they say its not up to them but the TP testers to decide who pass or fail. i don't blame anybody. but i really wanna pass asap. i just pass my class 3. is class 3 or class 2b easier to pass? i won't let my beloved bike suffer i sub ride my bf then he can bring her out some times. haha. :)

I think Class 3 easier to pass cuz as long as no major mistakes should be able to pass... Class 2B: If you have various minor mistakes, fail alrdy.

When's your next TP?

And what bike you got?
