Posted this in the 2011 thread but looks like this is more active...

Hey guys, my RTT result slips says it expires in 3 months, can I still apply for PDL? If can, will the PDL last only 3months?

Im still stuck at prac 5 and had to stop going for lessons due to dengue fever and some injuries. Will I need to retake RTT?

Thanks in advance.

I'm from ssdc but regarding PDL should be the same system... it should last 6months from the date you apply for the PDL. I believe if the RTT slip expired then you have to retake RTT, but if the PDL expires you can just renew.

Heard from new 2011 thread that must obtain PDL first to get into circuit...

I wonder what's the rationale for requiring a PDL before starting practical lessons. The roads in the CDC Circuit are somewhat within Private Property, similar to when that 10 year old driving in the Condo but never kena charged cos condo management refuse to hand him over to TP. Even its class 3 students can start taking lessons first without PDL, I wonder if this will change anything for them too.

Congrats! I think renewal is subject to you passing your TP, as long as you pass your TP anytime before Aug, you're clear. All the best for your TP :D

hi all. looking for some information here. planning to enrol for my lessons at CDC as its the most convenient (I work in the east). I used to ride a bike more than 20 years ago and have over 20 years car driving experience. I am ASSUMING I can get through fairly easily given I would have good road sense and some riding experience (I might be wrong of course). Question - what is the minimum number of lessons I must take in order to get a license? Thank you for the input.

hi @rijac, there are a total of 8 practical stages to pass. you can pass each stage with just one or two lessons, but sometimes the instructor may require you to take more in order to pass. I guess if you are really good given your past riding experience, you can probably pass all 8 practical stages in.. maybe 8-15 lessons? The least number of lessons you can take would be 1 lesson for each stage provided you pass them all in just one attempt. After that you can book for TP (if you have cleared all the theory lessons and gotten your RTT) Update us if you decide to enrol! cheers^^

ok. thanks. so if i allow 2 lessons per stage i have a good gauge for how many lessons and costs incurred. think i'll just go ahead and start.
