i assume u meant sadao checkpoint. take route4, bypass hatyai and all the way up till junction of route4 and route41, go straight on route41. there is a petrol station near this junction.

continue on route41 till u see junction of route41(towards thung sung) and 403. both routes can take u to don sak. route41 is more scenic but longer. continue on route44 to don sak.

route 403 is shorter but it goes thru a few towns (slower traffic during rush hours but more petrol stations along the way). continue on 401 to donsak pier

there is one about 1-2km before Don Sak pier, in the town itself. Gasohol 95 for EFI bikes should suffice.

yes there is 1 petrol station abt 2km from don sak pier, its PTT if i remember correctly. there is also a caltex station abt 5-7km from donsak. there are also quite a few petrol stations on samui island itself.

i used gasohol 95 on my carburetor bike, so far so good, no problem

hmmm... usually u all go directly up to ko samui in 1 day from SG or break into two and R&R at hatyai? which is more preferred? ;)
Its possible.

I left SG at 11pm or so and reached Hat Yai around 9am++ if i remembered correctly.

Have plenty of time to reach K.Samui if you dont mind the travel up for the next few hundreds kms.

On a separate trip before this, i took a1N stop before proceeding to Phuket the next day. Not tiring and get to spend some time in Hat Yai.

yup i know it's possible bro... but isn't it will be very tiring?

for newbies who never went there before, aren't they gonna shacked out right?

btw, may i know how long you need to travel from hatyai to ko samui?

I would suggest that u break into two, rest @ hatyai, or sadao... and then move up,For touring trips,Dont overstress yourself and create less awareness on the road due to long haul... I tried once two years back straight from patong to hougang, 1478km ...really steam...took me a good 14 hrs ...

Highly-dependent on the newbies. If they are fit like me, shouldnt be an issue. If weaklings, even Pasir Ris to Tuas would be tiring for them.
