Heard of a few of the more upmarket car tyre & rim shops having this service too. There's one around Buangkok with a big banner - "Nitrogen available".

However... no benefit at all unless you do some really hardcore driving/riding (motogp?), to take advantage of nitrogen's relative stability over a wide range of temperatures.

It is mainly the convenience of not having to pump your tyres ever so often. I own a Honda car as well, and I never hardly worry about low tyre pressure, (for 6 months, until when I service it) as I had the tyres filled with Nitrogen.

It is quite a hassle for those heavy cruisers with no central stand, to check and fill...CAll me laaazy wimp...

I have just sent a query to KAh Motor to ask they do extend this service to motorbikes (Honda and Non-Hondas). Will let your all know.

My query to Boon Siew has not received a response.

A bike shop would be a good place as they would appreciate it more that the pressures are right for safety and stability.

Anywhere else?

Where is the Buangkok one. Appreciate if you could provide the address or narrow it down to the street.

Rgds

KAh Motor responded. As they are a dfiierent company from Boon Siew (Honda Motorcycles) they cannot extend their service to Honda motor cycle owners.

Never heard from Boon Siew. Anybody knows?

AHM PERFORMANCE

R dey OK?

They bother to check that correct pressure is "done" for your particular tyres?

I not sure the purpose of using nitrogen for common road use BUT the fact, NITROGEN is one of the very few gas that is compressibility is negligible, and air is a compressible gas, another word if you have a leaks in your tire with nitrogen fill, oopss...............

Air is composed of 21% oxygen, 78% nitrogen and 1% other gasses.

So you can go to any gas station and pump and 78% nitrogen into your tyre.

If want 100% nitrogen, I seem to remember seeing this service at Looi's or Hodaka Motoworld. Both at KakiBukit.

And gas whether nitrogen or oxygen or kyrpton can be compressed.

Per metre cubed at room temperature at 1-bar of pressure,

nitrogen has a mass of 1.16 kg

and Oxygen a mass of 1.3 kg.
