rear: 250kpa or 35.5psi

i always use this tyre pressure.. since this is wat honda advises..

mine quite slack oredi.. goin to tighten it later..

 

idle speed: 1600 +/- 100 rpm

regardin idle speed i dunno whether its really so high.. cos when i start my bike.. it will hover at around 1k.. then when fully warmed up.. 1.5k..

 

guys.. dun 4get to check whether u have enuff fuel and if the brakes r workin properly b4 meetin up at 2nd link..

Same Tires for all Hornets.

Probably H250 is lighter... so less pressure Better Handling/comfort.

 

Big increase in Idle Rpm when warm... Interesting

How long to Be fully warm... does it jerks at 1k rpm?

Check bike in Good shape...

Don't do last minute changes...

 

Any maintainance done... best let bike run a few days in Spore before Going North.

4. $1 ringgit toll required after Imm

5. Enter the 1st Rest Area... We will be waiting @ Esso

6. Pump up if u need fuel - total dist to Kulai & Back 80km

- In malaysia better to call... sms is 60cents spore each

 

Convoy up to Kulai

 

1. Keep to One Lane & Ride Staggered...

2. Stay behind Leader & keep up with the One in front(do not leave a gap )

3. Will start slow & when last bike pull up to gp... sweeper/marker will ride up to give signal to spd up/or last bike hazard lites on.

4. All junctions - Go straight, unless there is a marker.

5. Do not Exit the 1st Kulai Turn Off(we exit 2nd Kulai Turn Off)

6. We will wait after 3rd toll to regroup before entering N-S highway.

7. Will exit Kulai shortly after entering N-S highway.

8. Regroup after Kulai Toll.

9. If u want to ride fast, it's ok... just wait for us at the next regroup pt or rejoin the gp.

 

Trunk Road to Kulai "Yew Ming Restaurant"

1. Turn Right T-Junction end of trunk rd after Kulai Toll

2. Go straight the Next Traffic light

3. "Yew Ming" is about 500m after lights. on the right,

behind Yellow painted Shop houses. Corner Restaurant up the hill.

Yo, got a question to raise.

 

Today got bike shop do oil change, chat with the boss on what he thinks about Hornet 250cc. Straight away his advice is a direct no no, here roughly what he said.

 

"250cc all under power. The piston is only 0.5 larger than a 200cc, but heavier than 200cc. Take a look at kawasaki zxr 250, yes it's fast, but engine after a while got problem because ppl lud the bike often due to under power. If get bigger bike better get 400cc and above, cause engine stronger to withstand the weight of the bike..."

 

Think the point he wants to make is 250cc is under power as compare to the weight of the bike. What do you guys think?

no, the hornet 250 can keep up. no doubt under power but u must also see it's capacity. also see and depends what u want. hornet 250 can give the s4 a run for the money. this 250 is also a very good everyday bike like the s4.
